Has any one else noticed that this wonderful woman who is an expert on natural childbirth and an advocate of breastfeeding has been given the absolute min. time to talk ? Has it been heavily edited so that she has so far not been able to say what she really thinks of the Ch. 4 "experiment" ?
I know, she must be fuming at the editing! What I have read on Sheila and her views on public breastfeeding what came out in the show is nothing like what she normally says!
Yeh, Sheila certainly doesn't mince her words ! Why can't we have a whole programme just on her views and the views of others like her on childbirth and bf ? Too "scarey" for the establishmnet I guess !
Can't access the website just now (too busy?), but will certainly be checking it out... still feel her 'bf in public toilets' comment was unforgivable though.
I actually felt gutted and a bit 'betrayed' when she made it - angrier even than I felt with CV, (since she can just be written off as a total idiot!) ...here's hoping this website can redeem her somewhat.
Hi Jonny, are you confusing Sheila Kitzinger with the 60's Dr Spock woman ?
Sheila is not one of the mentors, she was "interviewed" in to the previous 2 or 3 episodes, just a few seconds each time which was pointless really. She didn't feature at all in last night final programme.
I just wanted to highlight Sheila's work as CH. 4 has pretty much ignored it, put bits of her interview in to save face, but I doubt anyone even remembers she was on the programme or remembers her name.
oops... confused or what, I did work out I'd made this mistake 'cos I was talking about Spock Chic later the same day and clicked when I said her name out loud. Come to think of it, I now can't remember her name again. Ah well, suppose I'm just a normal pregnant chic suffering from severe brain mush!
