... but didn't you feel maybe 3 or 4 of the final 10 looked a little too relaxed?

Maybe they knew they would make it in.

Or is that just my suspicious mind? Eek

AAurora, what are you suggesting?

You will be saying the Hanso Foundation is 'made up' next.

I agree with most peoples views however jaundiced they are - I DO think that the overiding principal for C4 is to make "good" TV and that is paramount in their eyes.

Anyone thought what sort of paycheck Sonia & Co are getting for all of this?? Are we thinking thousands or hundreds of thousands?

One media report said C4 have underwritten the upfront production costs of the play itself by at least £100,000; in effect, they become the financiers for the play. I don't know if there's a fee to SFP for the programme on top of that - there probably is, but let's assume there isn't.

A 400 seater house at an average of £20 a ticket would make £8,000 revenue a night. Assume a 3 month run (let's be generous), that might equate to £600,000. Plus wet- and dry-sales.

If anyone wants to query those guesstimates I'd be happy, but I'd stick a finger in the air and say SFP/ATG probably has access to about £750,000 from the tv and the theatre show.

That's revenue, not gross or nett.

Ah, well. It's just me then. I see conspiracies everywhere.

You do know the moon landing was fake, right. Right?

Hi, Aurora - I thought some of them looked a little smug, but that might just have been their game faces.

My husband thinks the moon landing was faked too. Whenever footage comes on, he gets all excited about the shadows being in the wrong place. How does he know the right place? It's the moon.

Sorry to be a conspiracy-bore, but the claim is that shadows do not fall parallel to each other.

It's just perspective. Even on earth, when the Sun is really low and shadows are long, objects at different distances do cast non-parallel shadows.

Also, on the moon the uneven surfaces (which could not be seen so easily in the crude images they had on film) exagerated it.

Now you can tell him Swann!

Sorry Caicos - I'll apologise for the poor naive woman's opinion; she obviously ought to really stay at the sink and not express such silly, emotional thoughts. Still, bless, it's probably her time of month, isn't it mate, so we men have to make an allowance for her impaired judgement and lack of clear thought.

By the way - we've never asked, but clearly you DO have the experience here - what's it like to be on a reality tv show? Or maybe you've produced one? Please enlighten us!

Well not exactly reality TV but I was once on the telly with a troup of male strippers, and no, before you ask I was not part of the performance. I have had a little experience of broadcasting, not much, but enough to know the drill, and believe me, much of it is a fix

My guess on production revenue as above, without Endemol's production costs/fee.

Sonia reckoned last night she'd need about £1m to break even.

Not so far off...
