I've decided not to submit anything and to exit stage left. I realised my ideas are more for a fringe audience than a W End one, and seeing as how the Production Team have edited out my previous banter with Adman, they wouldn't go for my play ideas anyway. Good luck to the rest of you and I wish you every success. Blackout.

I've thought about pulling out because I'm not convinced my play is really what they're looking for, I don't think it's mainstream enough. But then I decided to let the Production Team decide that - not me!
Why don't you enter it anyway? You've got nothing to lose.
Thanks for your support, but I just re-read the terms and conditions and could kick myself! Section 6 bars any entrant who has had ANY previous dramatic work Optioned by a producer, so my feverish synopsis and scene writing has been in vain. That play I had performed back in '95, although an amateur production, had an option taken out on it in 2002 by Solo Films. That puts the kaibosh on me submitting anything for this competition. I blame myself for skim-reading the T&C's. Bummer! Anyhow, I'll be looking out for you guys when this programme airs. Break a leg!
