Just as a recap of what was said about names for the site on the old Playwrightcoop thread… Suggestions so far are:

AmDramPlays
DramaShop
DramaticExchange
PlayShare
PlayShop
WriteFair

Add to the list – or say which one you like. And most importantly; why? It’s the WHY that will enable us to market the site and what it means/stands for.

How about:
PlayRight or PlayWrites

Here are my suggestions:

and in case of sponsoring opportunities...

VirginPlays Big Grin This also links to the fact that we are new writers with brand new plays

I still think we should call it The Writers' Block...

If you can make it an existing phrase or some sort of play on words (hey, can we call it Play On Words?) it's more likely to stick in someone's mind. If they see it on a poster, they're still going to have to be able to remember the address when they get home.

Bearing in mind one of our core USP's (% of box / no upfront payments) - how about PlayAsYouGo?

Not available in couk or com, but it is in .biz (we talk about 'a bit of biz' - in comedy, anyway!).

??????????????????????

That's quite a good one, I like it.

I thought of PlayGroup last night, not that we're immature or anything. I might have been overtired.

LOL! Not at all! He's pretty impressed by the momentum of the project, and the whole concept. He's an amdram'er too so he's enthusiastic about anything that promotes theatre.
