We actually came up with a long list of potential names (some of them potentially very bad indeed). Here's all the ones I copied down - Steal-A-Scene (because our prices are a steal) Scripts N Scraps Scripts N Pieces Scriptorium Scriptory Script Bank Script-Ease Behind Bard (my bad pun) Pinter of Discontent (my even worse pun) Script-O-Matic The Script Crypt Equipped to Script Script to the Bone The Play Display The Play Buffet (yes, I was looking at a rhyming dictionary) Display Your Play A Matter of Acts Make A Scene Scene to be Believed Act-packed Lotsa Plots The Plot Plant.... Lost the Plot. I think the majority of those can be ruled out straight away somehow

Not a legal issue - but are we restricted to plays? What about musicals? Reviews?

Musicals...?
Any one know how to sight read a score...?
Different market - I think we should concentrate on what we know best and can make a 'qualified' decision as to what we include on our books... Unless we have at least three people that can judge the music...
Happy with reviews though...

Agreed, from Day 1 - but why stitch ourselves with a name which is in ANY way restrictive, if we don't need to do so?
Besides - what is a 'play'? Length? Does it have music - albeit incidental? How much? Set indoors or outdoors? Is a collection of 'review' type scripts a play?
The term is so subjective, I think we should avoid it - like NOT using Amatateur or Professional in any stressed way.

If you're looking for a wider scope than just plays. I think the best names up to now are:
dramaticexchange and theatreresource
They seem to have the widest appeal and scope. My only critism is that they don't actually say what the site is about. You can tell it's something to do with drama or theatres, but no immediate info on new scripts or available performance licences etc.
Sorry if this comes out a bit garbled. I hope you can understand what I mean. I'm suffering badly with a flu virus at the moment and my head is totally fuzzy.
(Btw, I can sight read music scores.)
