A group of writers who have met here – in no particular order (and apologies for anyone I have missed) myself, JaysPlays, LilMissLesley, Crampy, Playfull, AuroraLionheart, JooBoo and Gravedigger – are considering creating a new, bone fide company and website to encourage production companies to use (and pay for) our work.
This will be a ‘new concept’ in self-promoting of our new work.
Lots of plans, including safeguarding everyone’s copyright and seeking agents and producers – and definitely NOT invalidating anyone’s entry to this competition. We are all experienced; we are fairly sure we know what we’re doing; and what we want to do is create a communal access for (primarily) AmDram Societies to use our work, where they get a good deal and so do we.
If anyone is interested please;
1/ Look at the threads which will be appearing below all prefaced by the words CO-OP.
2/ See if you’d like to join us (and, no, we don’t want any money, this is NOT a vanity publishing scam) send me a 'hello' to services at tcworks dot co dot uk, and I'll give you more information.
To those in the group already – can we please keep these CO-OP threads very clean, relevant and simple – we meet at the Forum on www dot crampy dot co dot uk for a laugh.
To anyone else interested in bringing their work to a wider audience please e-mail me (as a co-ordinator only) on services@tcworks.co.uk and I’ll send more details – but I think you’ll see where we’re going with this from all the threads prefaced by CO-OP.
There are threads about to follow this one from JaysPlays and I asking questions; please can we stick to those headings – and leave this one totally without reply.

Hi All, This is stephen maybery masquerading as caicos. I was thrilled to find some replys to my initial posting, but I still have not got the hang of the technology and only blundered into theis section, so will try to answer all questions. Biography? well as my life reads like fiction, why change the formula. What am I doing at the moment? well, appart from "life death and the dear departed" which is the play submitted to c4, I am currently working on my next novel "god's knaves and scoundrels" which I hope to complete in about three weeks. Like prime ministers gks is a political satire. I had submitted "ldd" to several of the london producing theatres, the "soho" described it as being a cross between noel coward and allan aykeborn, then the poor dear had a fit of the screaming ab dabs as it was so politically incorrect, so what are my chances with c4?. If any of you do buy a copy of the book and would like it signed then let me know, I live in whitechapel london, slap bang in jack the ripper country. Best Wishes gang. Caicos. PS. Using a saerch engine such as google, log on to stephen maybery, and under the entry Title Page, you will find a synopsis and brief sample of "prime ministers"
