If you are new to this forum, you will find that it is a very supportive and proactive arena to share your passion of theatre and making drama.
However, you may have seen a link to my site portrayed in a negative light…
I would suggest that you visit and see for yourself… I have placed links to make sure that an agent isn’t a fake, a couple of links to other writing sites and I have a blog about my experiences as a playwright…
You’ll also find examples of my work, as well as a chatroom you are more than welcome to visit…
To moderate this negative comment about me and my site, please click on that users name and and select ‘Recent Posts by…’ this will give you some idea of the type of person that is attempting to discredit my attempts to support other wanabe playwrights…
There are some great people on this forum, and we come and post here to have a laugh and chat about our writing and our experiences, we'd welcome anyone who wanted to join in.
But whilst we value positive contributions, anyone who simply comes here to cause an argument, be rude to other users or post pointless and nonsensical threads that encourage no kind of discussion will find themselves short on conversation here.
Jay is an experienced and accomplished writer and his site shares examples of his work and his insights into the playwriting business with anyone who wants to have a look.

Hello, as someone who is new to the forum (or at least new to speaking in it) I thought that moonbird did you a service by putting the link in his thread, otherwise I'd never have seen it and I enjoyed having a good look round. simple case of schoolboy jelousy I think.
I feel that I should add to my last post that we only tend to be in the Chatroom late evening until the early hours... Just in case you decided to visit during the day and found no one there!
I enjoy writing with a passion - in fact it's the only thing that keeps me going I came on this forum to empathise with people but all I've had is aggression so I've replied with the same - the only person to attempt to pacify things is LML but even she seems to have abandonded me - o well - we plod on
thanks for the welcome. yes i did, although quite glad I didn't really know the extent of the competition or I think I could have talked myself out of it.
moonbird, whilst I feel your pain I'd prefer not to get dragged into the debate.
Having been lucky enough to have read a few posters work - I felt the same! But exciting things have come out of this forum... We are planning on setting up a site promoting new writing, no matter the result of TPTT...
Keep dropping by, have a laugh and learn a bit - I do each of those every day I come here!

That sounds like a winners acceptance speech to me.
Good luck with your entry (sounds a bit rude)

At the moment we're waiting for the result of the shortlist - but we've got an outline plan...
But it should be very exciting as we have a number of ideas that would be unique for promoting new writing... Keep in touch and we'll keep you updated!
sorry to go off topic but what do you think is more likely to turn the panel's head, a brilliant idea or brilliant writing? I imagine that the obvious answer is both but given the choice would you rather be a brilliant thinker or a brilliant writer? (apologies for repetition of brilliant)
At this stage I don't think any of us know the answer to that...
My best guess would be that they are looking for a new idea - something that hasn't been seen before that would appeal to the largest possible audience - and if it could manage it, get people that have never been in a theatre through the box-office!
Again, very many thanks... I put it together to promote my work (but in truth, tell me an agent or production company that surfs the net looking for a new play) and share my experiences with other playwrights...
Indeed, I very narrowly avoided a scamer (who is no longer in business). My hope is that I can help prevent someone else even getting into that situation!
