Hey all!

I accidentally submitted to "the Play's the Thing," even though I wasn't eligible. (I swear I read through the T&C, but I guess I was pressed for time.) Anyway, a few weeks ago I got a note from the production team asking me to confirm that I was a British citien. Heh. Did anyone else get such an email? I wrote back saying no, of course, but I'm wondering how many people made such a mistake.

Tough luck, but I've seen loads of US competitons advertised in the playwrights section of stageplays.com if that's of any use... They are a bit argumentative on its forum, but there are some good contacts there...

Heh- of course I entered on purpose. Two different British friends pointed me to it, and we all seemed to miss the requirements.

I was surprised to get an email asking about my citizenship, instead of just having my entry ignored. Made me feel like I was the only person who made that mistake! I suppose that the competition was only advertised in the UK.

Did any UK citizens living abroad get queried about their citizenship? Or did something about me just scream American?

Just for the record ... it seems that Playfull posted a message earlier today re: terrorism, and a reply I gave looked like I was defending terrorists.

Can I just say that I agree totally with Playfull - but I could only see half a message, and from what I could see it looked like he was defending them in some way - that's why asked him to explain it (or whatever I said, I just dashed it down)!
