You missed "supernatural"
I though I saw a light at the end of the tunnel .. but it was only Jay with a torch, looking for the way out!

Yes, Zab, Aberlass is mistaken, it's 4pm today.
Do I sense the desperation of an entrant who hasn't actually e-mailled it yet?!

Phew! I have emailed ... but only just this minute!

I submitted two : The first was a 'Political' one, and the 2nd was a 'Horror', so I voted for the first
|

|

|
I submitted two;
1. Modern-day 'in the office' farce about the ad industry (yawn yawn)
2. Egyptian crim-caper comedy (?what?)!
Three hours to go ... wonder if I've got time to get another in before - no, maybe not!

Bugger adman, you have done me again. I thought with my novel crim-caper i would have a whole genre to myself.....curses. See you on the telly with Crampy.

Adman, I ment, see you and crampy on the telly, from the comfort of my living room.

Me and Crampy being watched on the telly ... hmmm, you up for that Cramps (so long as we get paid for it, obviously)!?

Looks like a lot of us are either tragic or melodramatic. I think my play seems to rather uncomfortably straddle a few of the options (ouch). It's a good job I emailed my entry in a few days ago. I've been ill and sleeping for 13 hours at a time. Life is so hard

How many Calories are there in a Crim Caper?
I only arsked . . .

They don't make Crim-Caper Lite? Or would that be a Comedy-Crim-Caper? Mmm, alliterative.

Hey L'M'L' - we could be on to something here. The new tasty way to enjoy drama without that guilty feeling. Indulge yourself with Crim Caper lite (Can only aid weight loss as part of your wildest dreams.) Adman could you do the advertising for us? We could book a slot on the show when they are tearing your play to bits. (And you could mentions us as your sponsors when you get the trophy.)

A 'crim'-caper! That is brilliant. You were thinking of Egypt at the time, which makes you think of crypt, which sounds like 'crim' rather than 'crime'? Do you know that the Australian slang for criminal/convict is 'Crim'? A very popular 'Crim - caper' was called - "Prisoner - Cell Block H". If you could reinvent that, then you are guarenteed a hit (yes it was a theatre show too)! As for everyone's coments on your 'crim-caper'... bravo, excellent wit. I can see why you are writers. Very funny & smart. I'm impressed. Next time a competition comes up - you guys should form a writing team. You will win, no problem. quote: Originally posted by Ginpitwarrior: I quite like the idea of a crim-caper

Adman (Sherlock Holmes) you are the 1st to notice that I dont vote 1st on my own Polls. No one has ever noticed! I'm impressed. But in response to your point... I do not want to influence anyone's vote, so I keep out of it, until people have had a fair chance to vote their own opinion. Does that make sense? p.s. thankyou for voting. I have no idea what your choice was. I felt this Poll pertinant, because we all want to know roughly what everyone's tone is for this Comp. quote: Originally posted by Adman 1961: Aberlass

You already know what I wrote - a farce / satire about the ad industry, and my Egyptian Crim Caper!
Actualy, I'm very, very bored by the first and very excited by the second. Anyone ever heard of a comedic play or musical set in Egypt? If you know of one, please let me know - I don't think there is one, especially involving a Crim!

OKAY, BEFORE YOU ALL SHOUT - EXCEPT JOSEPH AND HIS TECHNICOLOUR YAWNFEST!
|
| |
|

|
I went to see Joseph years ago on a school trip. The only thing I remember is a bunch of menopausal women sitting in front of us nearly fainting because Philip Schofield was waving... I can't think of anything set in Egypt, except a few Agatha Christie novels, but they aren't plays.

I saw Philip Schofield on the beach at a Radio 1 road show, I also saw Take That. I'll shut up now.
