Sort of!

After 14 hours of phone calls mostly listening to mangled versions of Vivaldi I now have some sort of internet connection but only on dial up!

If I wrote a play based on my experiences no one would believe it.

But I would like to say I have missed you all - I would love to catch up on all the posts but Mr Lloyd or Mr TSB won't give me enough pocket money.

Question - what would you miss most if you were off line?

Second question - Is it easier to find intelligent life forms . . .

a) By standing in a corn circle
b) By holding a seance
c) By dialling a call centre

I only arsked . . .

I recently contacted a major telecoms company (who I wont name but lets just call them BT) I phoned their business hotline and the first question I was asked was - "what is your number?". Theres me thinking everyone had caller ID on their phones these days!

I was then told that they didnt recognise my number, please hold. After a few minutes the person came back to say that they had just realised I was in Northern Ireland and that was dealt with by a different team. If I held on they could put me through!!!!

Modern technology or what?
