There can be only one thing worse than having your play/screenplay/novel/short eaten alive by a panel of industry professionals, and that's to have it done LIVE on reality telelvision!
Best of luck to all the writers - or should that be break a pencil as it's for the stage?

I'd have a new Hotmail account and telephone numbers.
I'd be "unemployed".
I'd have only gone to pantomimes with my kids.
I'd have a new finished play I was 100% happy with - and not tell them (I'm going to have that anyway).
I'd gamble on them keeping a database of this years' entries and say I'd never written a thing before.
Yeah, I'd give it a go.
But consider this.
If there's going to be a TPTT2, on the same timescale, they'd have to announce it in about ... gosh, 2 weeks time!
Does the timescale strike anyone as familiar?
Oh yes it does, and hell will freeze over before I would enter again, I take that back, Im off to siberia, but if there is a forum I will keep an eye on it, dear god there are not going to be many laughs on Sakhalin.
