5 days to go! Take pity on the production team hard at work stuffing all our acceptance letters with contracts, dry mouthed and parched from licking so many stamps.

Has anybody heard anything yet! Have now got past the nail biting, completely gnawed through my fingers and am almost at my elbows!!

Best of luck to everyone here.

Hi JJ

I've heard. I've heard that whether you're looking for love, a job, more success in your current position, a 'new start' or a letter from an agent, producer or competition, I've heard that the day you give up is the day that your dream can never become a reality. I've heard that on that day, you start to die a little bit inside.

I've heard that, no matter what you try and find, so long as you constantly try and find something, you'll find something. Maybe not what you were looking for, but something.

I've heard that if you look for friendship, kinship and support, you'll find it - so long as you keep on looking.

I've heard from some good, new friends on this forum. I've heard some of their successes; some of their failures; some of their happiness; some of their sadness.

I've heard all that. I've heard it before - and I'd forgotten that I'd heard it!

Oh, yes. I've heard. And even though I gave up dashing to the letterbox or hotmail for TPTT some weeks ago, I've heard some very, very good news here.

If good news is the letter dropping through your letterbox from TPTT - then I hope you hear too!

Anyone care to call me pretentious? Then consider this.

Lewes - if any one of 'the gang' was stuck in London, no cash, no credit cards or chequebooks, would you come and pick us up and put us up for a night? Even though you've never met us?

LML - Jay and I missed your lunch invite in Stoke, but is it still open?

Zabs - I don't have clients over the water, but if I did; would you stand the first round?

Gravy - when's your next show so we can come visit?

The Play's The Thing?

I hope I'm not wrong.

I've already won.

You may all now vomit ...

To quote the great Arnold Judas Rimmer. After all this is over, "we won't be apart - we just won't be together any more"!

Roll on Dramatic Success! We can get that underway in (checks watch) 174 hours time!

On this track...

If you're in Pompey for any reason (other than watching the football) and need to be shown Route Alpha (the sailors' pub crawl of Portsmouth) I think I might know a youngish Naval officer that might be able to have a decent stagger Wink

PS. I might be on Telly after all... I've been asked if I would be interested in being the MC for the Traf 200 celibrations in Traf Square! (Lewes, you might want to move away for a couple of days! The Navy's coming to town Big Grin)

Adman's inspiring words remind me of this fantastic piece I read in an Essex church (of all places), anonymous and titled 'Don't Quit'.

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you're trudging seems up-hill,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest, if you must but don't you quit.

Life is queer with it's twists and turns,

As everyone of us sometimes learns,

And many a failure turns about,

When he might have won had he stuck it out.

Don't give up though the pace seems slow,

You may have succeded with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out,

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt.

And you never can tell how close you are,

it may be near when it seems so far.

So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,

It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
