So they changed the homepage - but why are there the references to Radio Drama?
Is there going to be a spin off competition now that Channel 4 are entering the Radio market (They've now got an internet radio station and want to go DAB).
If so, where is the connection with TPTT.
I'm all for new ideas, but I can't see the connection with TPTT.
Actually, I think it's a pretty smart move, channeling people into radio drama - a cheaper, more accessible way to get experience and learn the craft.
I see some tiny flaws in the plan, though:
1. No one gives a cr*p about radio plays. Being steered to radio plays from a stageplay competition is like entering a photography contest and being told to go perfect daguerrotypes. We live in a visual age. Why don't they tell us to make our own five minute movies on the web?
2. I have never heard of anyone except Douglas Adams who started in that field and went anywhere interesting.
3. The BBC has a classic monopoly stranglehold on radio plays: no one else does them, no one else wants to.
Besides that, I think it's a brilliant plan! Let's all sign up! Futility is awesome!
