Can I be the first.......... to send a virtual Xmas card to all on the forum.
Even this is late as my local Morrisons put the Xmas selection boxes on display whilst the final Test Match was still being played.
MERRY XMAS!!!!!!!

And of course a very special Xmas card to the Production Team. We are thinking of you even if you don't think
much of us of us much.
Merry Xmas
and may your seats always be full!

It's my favourite holiday!
Me too! Let's hear it for Halloween! A great holiday without religion or family! Just candy and costumes! I will be dressing as Harriet. Love, Swann

The ancient Celts would have something to say about you calling Samhain that!
Technically Halloween is mainly Samhain eve but part Samhain. Samhain begins at sundown on 31st Oct (Halloween) and runs through to sundown on 1 Nov.
.... and not a lot of people know that! I can give you more Samhain info if you are interested.... but then again, let's all just go and have fun on Halloween instead.

You all seem to know a lot about this kind of stuff?
And here's me thinking this was a forum for writers...
I see it all now!
It's a recruiting centre for some bizarre cult!
Grr I hate Hallowe'en
Let some little tyke dare ring my bell!
Trick or treat?
I don't remember this going one when I was a kid...
I think it's yet another example of the Americanisation of our culture!
(I intend no offense to our good buddy Swann) but what next!
In Marks and Spencers today, pumpkins for sale marked or engraved so that faces could be cut out!
Pumpkins? Apart from Hallowe'en, has it any other use? Can one eat it?
Personally I shall be donning my skintight red jumpsuit with spiked tail and horns...
Who fancies a life of damnation?

But, it's huge!
You could fill a bath with soup...
or feed the homeless for a week!
Pumpkin is delicious...
Big soft juicy chunks of pumpkin with your veggies and roast potatoes!
Pumpkin pie...
Pumpkin soup...
Pumpkin crisps...
Pumpkin chips...
I must stop...I'm getting hungry

Oh no way!
I prefer more traditional British food:
err...Chicken tikka marsala...spaghetti bolognese...croque monsieur...etc
duck a l'orange?
if duck in french is canard - why is it not CANARD a l'orange?
It is in France. Emmenez-moi au theatre: Le canard a l'ornage also known as L'Anatra all'arancia is a play (theatre/TV) by William Douglas-Home.
M***e! Le canard
a l'orange!
