Yep, this is almost the end.

It does seem unlikely that C4 would really wait until the very last minute to contact the lucky ones.

Question: Do we complete our TPTT submissions and try our luck elsewhere or wipe them off our (PC) memories?

With the end closing faster than ever, I thought I'd just call in to say thanks to everyone for the laughs and comfort given and recieved over the last half year.

Damn! This could mean that for a couple of weeks after the deadline we'll STILL be sweating on that hope!

D'oh! I've been harping on about that one for the last week...

You may not have entered it, but C4's 'New Comedy Writing Initiative' was supposed to end midway through August - announcements by the end... Not a dickie bird heard, save a small change to the web page, amending the date to ‘End of September’ and a couple of posts from people who had called C4 up - commenting that the response was just so ‘overwhelming’ that it’d taken them longer than they’d planned.

Hmmm... Surely every eligible playwright in the UK has entered this competition?... You may need to bite your nails for another month...

Sorry Minxy - I accept that the deadline COULD swing, but I was in fact being flippant! I think it's not only over on 30.9, but that the 'shortlisters' were probably contacted at some time in the last 5 weeks.
