Hi, I'm new here and am still trying to find my way around. Can anyone tell me how the notification thingy works? I see it's switched off on my profile.

If you turn it on, you get an email to let you know every time anyone post on a stream that you've posted on. It can be a pain.

Use the 'Go' button top left; go to 'my profile' and then to 'notifications' - you can turn it on there.

Like Subs says - it can be a pain!
