The closing date is Friday 1st July.

I beleive this means I can still send my submission on that day.

If in fact the deadline is 11:59 pm Thurs 30th June, could someone let me know ASAP!

I saw somewhere that the deadline is 4pm on friday. Correct me if i'm wrong.

A definite answer would be great.

Its just one of those realities that I discovered this competition late.

My synopsis is ready, but the more time I have to complete the sample pages the better.

I'd prefer to send it closer to the actual deadline - whenever it is...

I've seen this 4pm as well, but (unless anyone knows different) I think it's a myth.

To me,'by' July 1st is not the same as 'before' - so I read that as 'so long as it's in on July 1st, not the 2nd, you're in'. But why take the chance? If you haven't cracked it by midnight tonight, after the door being open for 6 weeks, what could you add?!

I'd hate to work on it late tonight, and then try and send it by e-mail at (say) 1am tomorrow to get an automated reply of 'Sorry, we've stopped accepting them now'. That would be far worse than entering and not getting anywhere - like having the winning lottery numbers but getting to the shop 2 minutes after the console's shut down!

Oh well - I'll take my chances.

It's a curious situation for me!

The story of my play has been developing in my head in considerable detail for a couple of years.

So I've done what I consider to be a reasonable synopsis.

Alas no dialogue for it has been written as of this date.

I literally have just over 24 hours to knock up those 15-20 pages of sample script.

I will do my best and see what happens!
