Accusations flying left right and centre, people falling out, talk of another forum from which people are withdrawing? What gives people? I thought this place was a nice little sanctuary from the bump and grind of my forum home the "news forum" where slanging matches extraordinaire abound on an hourly basis and from where people are banned regularly.

You will be able to see the recent bloodletting that has gone on there and make your own minds up regarding the outcome of what has been referred to as the 'Playshop Co-Op' the 'Collective' and 'DS' or 'Dramatic Success'.

I have my own thoughts on what has happened but don't think it would serve any purpose to air them on here, or on FoS.

I will certainly still be sticking my nose in here and will respond to any posts addressed to me (well almost any).

Playful's advice is good (and thanks for expressing it accurately and honestly, Playfull, and without causing further angst to a situation we have all now resolved); any writers interested in helping to create a new route to placing theirs and others' new plays into (mostly) amateur theatres on a fee-earning basis for the writers can come visit us at the FoS mentioned above.

As Playfull says - it was never and isn't meant to be a clique or prescriptive, but as you may have gathered there has been some blood-letting in the last week. It was almost inevitable that some members would fall out, but we welcome everyone with a hello.

We are to a certain extent self-moderating, and there is only one member on this Forum who would not be welcome by common consent of all of us based upon his previous postings; he knows who he is, and it's certainly not either of you!

The joy of this group is the fact that the majority of us have read and critiqued each others work. Therefore we understand each others styles and know how they take invited constructive criticism.

This is then coupled with a heart-warming passion for theatre and a genuine committed desire to get their works into theatres and be paid in return.
