So strange to see shy boy's post. Anyway, in my dream I got an e-mail (on my work account) from Channel 4, I opened it with soaring spirits only to see that it was spam announcing some programme. I then came into the forum and all was lost when I saw a new topic from Adman: "Billyco has heard."
If anyone is actually on this forum called Billyco, I suppose it's good news. For me, I'm just frustrated with my own rampantly obsessive subconscious and I would like to slap it silly.
Do you think it could have been the cheese I had for dinner?
You're very facile with the smiley faces, Aurora. Your name reminds me of Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. That was some good theatre, btw, at the National.
Yesterday I reworked my Act II Scene i perfectly over the course of a grueling three hours and then lost all the changes in a computer glitch.
Between the dream and computer problems (I lost about forty pages when a virus killed my hard drive this spring as well as yesterday's fiasco) I am very tempted to whip up a pitcher of margaritas and give up this play tomfoolery!
Don't do it! You might find that this works to your advantage. I blogged about a similar thing that happened to me a while ago.
I just couldn't get the thing down - but I had another go without the notes in front of me... And I was stunned at the way it progressed! It was better than I had hoped for...
Just look at the glitch and the virus as an opportunity to revisit the idea (I know it's a pain, but a positive can help from time to time).
btw - I had a dream that I had been shortlisted the other night... Problem was, I was shortlisted because the others were stunning creatures... That way I got voted off quickly much to the audience's delight!
Jay, I guess you're right. Plus if I started in on the margaritas at 10:45am I would almost certainly use up all the limes before my husband got home and he gets testy when there are no limes for his gin and tonic.

I do love them smilies! It makes such happy posts.
I've have my on-line name for a very long time, about 9 years I think. There's even a longer story to go with it, which I won't bore you with.
I've never read any of Pullman's books. I really should, as I'm a massive fantasy fan.
Aurora, read the books. they are fantastic. I plan to use them to teach my child about life as I find them more accurate than most religious instruction. Also, ya gotta check out Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. I'm about 200 pages in and it is a fabulous, charming read. Better than Harry Potter.

I believe it qualifies you for a wide range of jobs in the private security industry. Also, as I have learned from watching television, many ex-cops turn evil and find lucrative employment as henchmen for evildoers. So I think you have a lot of options.
Dude, I was only kidding. Plus, I am sure that Adman is too ambitious to be just a henchman . . .I should think he would be looking for a position in evildoer manangement.
Jay said it before on one of his blogs - when we met, it was like meeting me! Having never even spoken on the 'phone, Jay came to stay at my place with my wife and 2 kids with his wife and 2. We met at a pub just down the road - when we met it was immediately comfortable and we had a great 24 hours - the parallels between us were frankly frightening!
We're now finishing a collaboration play - it's astounding to see how the threads of our two stories link up, and when we're finished I don't think you'd be able to tell which of us wrote which part!
But we have one doctrine we both agree on - it's "beer, rugby, women" in a very, very deep voice!
