I was actually quite gratified - it wasn't too "Simon Cowell'ish" "Big Botherish" "etc-ish" - I thought the entries/ideas were worthy BUT I am still unsure how the synopsis/brief will develop into the final play? But then that is the idea of the series! I thinks I know which one will win though and it ain't the one that made them cry (cos mine was one like that) ....sob....sob...pity...pity..
You picked up a point my wife raised... If you had a completed play, there was no way you could have progressed in this series.
I seriously wish I had entered on of my WIPs.
I did learn something from the programme though... Understand actors, understand that there is only one person to impress (the producer) and realise that Agents aren't all bad - but they do have preconcived ideas of what a writer is...
"They're born" Claptrap! The first play I wrote was crud! I taught myself to improve and only now am I confident enough to let them go before the public... I must be one of the longest deliveries in history... And having read other posters works, there must be some exhuased midwifes out there!
all I can say about the programme is....thank goodness the World cup footie is on.....the replays;the "will Wayne play or won't he play?"; the off-side rule.... much more interesting than the much awaited "the plays the thing"......AND that is from a Scottish lady!!!! Come on the English and the French...
