Milan fans are getting quite excited by their new purchase Yoann Gourcuff from Rennes, just how good is he?

He is very talented and class, it's sure. He played for Rennes last year, then our dear Milanese friends bought him. Frown
The italians newspapers are very nice with him, they compared him to Zidane !Ghost I don't think that someone can be compare to Zidane.
But it's great to be a titular in such a big team, and i hope i will not have "the big head" after all thoses praises.

Yoann Gourcuff was our leading starlet and he's been snatched due to the lack of desire of the board. Though, I've only ever seen him on highlights but from that it was clear that he was a style King and would go on to better things.

As Hauru says he's compared to Zidane.
But 'realistically' what current or past player would you compare him with in terms of his style of play?

My post has disapeared. For me it's too hard to compare him with another player, i did'nt watch him a lot last year. But you can find some videos about him on internet

Zidane had some nice things to say about Gourcuff.

Kind words indeed from Zizou! He should know more than anyone how much you learn in Italy. The fact that Gourcuff is so young and playing in an ageing team also plays into his hands because once the old boys hang up their boots or move on for a lucrative retirement deal in the states the new Milan should be built around him (and Pirlo).

Oh sh!t, how could I forget Kaka! I have a feeling that he will leave the San Siro if Milan win the champions league and Serie a next season.

Its weird how one transfer may trigger 2 or 3 others.
But consider this, Kaka to Real, Ronaldinho to Milan, Lampard to Barca, Eto'o to Chelsea Ninja

I keep winding the Chavski fans at work up by claiming that fat Frank will go to Barca but in reality I consider it a strong possibility, especially as his wife is a native!

I don't, however, believe that if that was the case Sammy Eto'o will go to the bridge.

Who does everyone think is better - gourcuff or meghni? Meghni seem to have lived up to some of his earlier hype last season, great palyer hope he does well at Lazio. Im so glad gourcuff has signed up to 2012 for us.

I hope Gourcuff gets more of a look-in next year for Milan... I haven't seen enough of Meghni to make a valid comparison either way.

I know that Serie A is only a couple of games in but does anyone know if he looks like a starter?

No I haven't noticed him playing in the team or coming off the bench either, it is a shame.

I've no idea! Maybe he's got lazy in training? Or maybe he doesn't play too well with the others? I'm surprised he hasn't played that often though, especially as I don't find Ambrosini very effective!

It got slow, then a bit slower and then some idiots decided to start posting crap on here. to be honest, there was only realy about 5 regular posters but that was fine - it was ours.

This is the first time in years that i have checked this forum and it's a shame that no-one bothers, even now the new Ligue 1 season has begun.

The Calcio site, i think, suffered a similar fate but i suspect there was something else behind it. Anyway, the people ITK regarding calcio started/moved to theirr own site - and i can't remember what it's called, (sorry guys).
