Were you having to count Bastia's defeats? (Sorry. I know you're dying with laughter) Funny you should mention that, because I found out this week that I'll be going on French Work Exp. for 10 days next year too. Don't know what work I'll be doing yet though. Also, I've been asked to go to a Youth Conference in Strasbourg then Brugges where we discuss EU matters with fellow further education students from around Europe and then realise that we've made no difference to the world whatsoever...that kind of thing.
But don't you find yourself thinking in the wrong language when you need to figure out a certain word? I'm trying to prevent this by learning Italian and Spanish in French...it's going OK.

The worst, and I speak from experience, is living in a foreign country and slowly forgetting your English. You think it can never happen and yet it does... you end up looking on google to see if this preposition goes with this verb etc. It's a nightmare and I'm supposed to be a writer!

I know what you mean (but I doubt in as much detail), because after coming back from periods away in France I find myself saying things in the wrong order, for example the dog of Noreen instead Noreen's dog etc Odd vocab gets mixed up too.

hey Nantes/Rennes: 0-2!! what's happening to Rennes tonight?
| |

What an incredible result, bouncing back from some miserable form, AWAY from home against our local rivals! Staggering. Absolutely delighted! Great to see Utaka on the scoresheet too. We may not have played fantastically well, but we've won at the Beaujoire in 41 years! FELICITATIONS MES RENNAIS

I've just seen some shocking statistics: Ligue 1 clubs have abysmal away records! Incredibly, Rennes, with our victory tonight are the 5th best team away from home, despite having lost over half of our away games! Marseille have only won 10 points away from le velodrome, whilst Paris SG have only amassed 9 points this season. I am gobsmacked that Rennes can be so high despite our notorious pitiful away form. I'm going for a lie down.

yes, all the time

Yeah, that's why I've decided to leave the Spanish for a couple of years, because it was starting to overwrite the French vocab in my head.
I knew we'd struggle getting past Corte, despite them being 83 divisions below us. 2-3 was the score, but we're through, so I sigh with relief.

I'm bewildred that after our dreadful season so far, after beating Le Mans 1-0 last night we are 10th, but only 3 points away from the Champions League places There is no sense in Ligue 1 this season!

yes,it's funny. 3 clubs have 32 points, 3 others have 33 points, then PSG have 34, Auxerre 35 and Bordeaux 36. It will be a great battle. Le classement

Rennes losing to Nancy (again) 0-2, coupled with the fact that Derby lost 6-1 at Coventry (and have a wazzock as manager and a brainless board, hence the £44m debt! )

Combien de l'equipes.........i want to ask you how many teams do you support?
Allez Sedan!!

"Rennes right back Doumbe is the subject of interrest from Newcastle United and West ham after turning in some eye catching performances for the french club- particularly during their Uefa cup campaign"

Perrier-Doumbe!? How could anyone have come out with any credit after our disastrous UEFA Cup campaign?!?
Junkie: Derby County, my main team (unfortunately), Burton Albion (my very local team. Can see their ground from my window now), Inter, Rennes and kind of Osasuna (but not really, as I can't watch any Spanish football).
I know, it's a lot, but nobody can call me a glory hunter!
| |

That's true! I kinda have a team from each league, (that i can watch), so mine are Arsenal (from '87) Colchester Utd (where i'm from) Sedan (went there on french exchange, great memories) Barcelona (come on, they do play great football) Eintracht Frankfurt and i always look out for Parma's results!
Allez Sedan!!
| |

Well, here i am, fresh after Colchester beat Derby, as you correctly predicted! Two goals not four though, nevermind, can't get everything right! Don't worry, i'm not one to wind people up too much, so that's ya lot......i'll let you go and drown ya sorrows now.......bring on Chelsea (not Arsenal because Col U will prolly do them)
Allez Sedan!!

I was pleasantly surprised by the Rams yesterday, only letting in 3, despite embarrassing ourselves further by having our idiot manager putting on our idiot 36 year old assistant manager, Dean Holdsworth for an hour, and playing our star midfielder up front. What an embarrassment we are to the area. There is simply no future... P.S. Well done Colchester

I quite like Nancy as i worked there last summer and Coventry are my local team! haha!

Sorry, didn't quite catch that. Did you say Barnsley?
| |

...or was it MK bottom-of-the-table Dons? Rennes have signed John Mensah from Chievo. He played for Ghana yesterday, but they lost to Zimbabwe and got knocked out

and Olivier Sorlin (Monaco) is coming back home too.
