Anyone know what happened to it, it doesnt appear to be on the tv listings anymore. Would be interesting to know what the viewing figures for that would be. There isnt a brazilian footy forum on here so I thought I'd add this in here.
Haven't got the foggiest, mate. In a way, Brazilian footy is a lot like French footy in the fact that any good players don't last long there. In fact any half talented Brazilian is shipped off to some European league just on the basis that they are Brazilian.
Still, be good to see some league action from Samba land!
the last time they showed it was a season ago when santos pipped athletico paraenense(incorrectly spelt no doubt) to the title if memory serves correctly.A shame as last season, when corinthians pipped internacional in very controversial circumstances, sounds like it would have been very interesting. You probably know this already but channel 5s Golazzo programme(late thursday night/friday morning normally)usually has highlights, though very brief,of the brazilian championship or the paulista and carioca, along with copa libertadores(channel 4 often cover the later stages of the CL)
Golazzo - I've seen that a couple times it's quite good! Argentinian football is on 5 as well I think, Dutch football too, sometimes I think I'll watch it then I think hmmm, I like watching foreign football but maybe not at 04:30
channel 4 are showing early hours coverage of the knockout stages of the libertadores;so far this week theres been saopaolo v palmeiras and river plate v corinthians.Tonight theres nacional v internacional with more no doubt to follow so its probably worth checking your listings
Wen I'm on the early shift at wrok and have to be up at 5:15 I'm sometimes witness to some Argentine or MLS but never Brazilian, I'm not getting up at 2am!
