Being a mad Arsenal fan since '87, I've had to endure some ups and downs, mostly ups, but anyway......
When Mr Wenger was appointed manager I believe most English fans immediately thought, Arsene Who? However, I am very pleased to say that he has been a revelation in England and in my opinion, changed the way the game is played and I think that every fan owes him for that!
So, here comes my point and I'm hoping that you guys that know more about French football than me can can maybe answer me?
Should us Arsenal fans start to worry about Arsene Wenger's current form? Why would any boss sell his most influential player, (Patrick Vieira), and not arrange back up? Why does he lose his cool so often these days? when he first arrived he was as cool as a cucumber! Plus, here's the biggy....why does he never seem to have a 'plan B' when things don't go according to plan?
Has he been hanging around Sven Goran Eriksson to much?
Anyway, that rant aside, I have every faith in him and trust his judgement although I am a little worried.
I just see it that they've been overtaken by Chelsea, and that's left them with fewer options on the transfer market, and therefore, they're having to rely on their older players such as Pires, Ljungberg and Campbell who are injury prone.
As for Vieira, who knows why there was no replacement. Maybe Wenger thought he'd last a little longer, and therefore give Fabregas time to mature.
Wenger will stay for a bit longer but the only way is a slip down the league.
Well, yes, maybe it's because he is over analytical. And because sometimes he only talks about the same players: like "Thierry is the best" or "Pat is great" ,10 times in a match And for a goal he only says :"Et but." But his analysis are great, like always. And it's just my point of view, i have friends who love Arsene Wenger as a commentator.
Arsenal need to up their games soon, because their champions league group is hard as nails: -
Not a half decent team in it, their all very strong teams. Arsenal have one of the best teams in pot 2, possibly the hardest team in pot 3, and for sure the hardest team in pot 4 which imo are soon to be in pot 3 and possibly pot 2. That's my oppinion of the draw - I think Arsenal have drawn 3 potential pot 2 teams. That's hard as hell!
Wenger done it again! Just when all Gooners were wondering what was going on inside his head and time was running out he goes and gets rid of two of the biggest whingers and replaces them with quality, motivated players!
I agree great dealing by Wenger. It will be interesting to see where Baptista fits in, as a forward he was great for Sevila, but as a midfielder he struggled to find his feet at Madrid.
I have no idea, zeds, but one thing I do know is that Wenger is THE master at transforming players from one position to another! Personally I would like to see him as added muscle going through the middle of the park! Aside from Gilberto, who has stay back to protect the fairly, (hopefully no longer), fragile back four Arsenal have no one of such physical stature.
well I have always had faith in Arsene, and think he has made an amazing contribution to the team but am now starting to doubt a few of his decisions such as not playing Baptista. I have noticed that various people have blogged on the new sports webiste 4sportsake sharing my view. By the way its a great site- worth checkin out.

Welcome to the forum, shinyshein. It's almost dead at the moment, but I'm sure there'll be times when people start posting again... anyway - welcome.
I'm sorry to all the peeps for not posting for a while, been away on xmas duties etc.
Baptista is not good enough to play week in, week out for Arsenal, simple as that! Aliadiere would do well to get a move back to France as he simply isn't making the best of his chances when called upon for the Gunners.
AW is a great manager but even still, at this point in the season, some of his decisions are baffling. For example, playing RvP on the left side of midfield when anyone with eyes can see he's better coming in from the right.
Anyway, it's good to be back and even better to see a new poster on the forum.
Le Prof. Wenger's youth policy has to be admired. His football philosophy is amazing. He has revolutionized English football since he came to the Premiership.

Who said you can't win anything with kids? Cardiff...here we come!
Le Boss got it spot on last night! I hope he doesn't change his policy just for the final! It's the kids that got us there and I want to see how they against the Chelski mercenaries!
