Brazil play tomorrow ! Can't wait to see them. Smile

My thoughts on the matches:

-England/Paraguay: maybe the tournament best's moment: "Hey, where is the ball?" Big Grin

-Argentine/Ivory Cost: the argentinians had more realism and more experience, but the ivoirians have shown a beautiful football. And Drogba has scored ! Smile

-Portugal/Angola: a wonderful goal of Pedroooooo Migueeeeeeeel Pauletaaaaaaaaaaa (the Canal +'s commentators are fan of him...). But the portuguais were not that good.

How will watch France/Switzerland? We need support!!

I will be watching them play.
My prediction: -
France 2-0 Switzerland
First half I reckon will be reasonably quiet and even, then come the second half France will explode and score 2 in quick succession.
Brazil 1-0 Croatia
Brazil will look superior in most areas I reckon, but Croatia have been impressive recently and might just do consistantly well at the back.
I will be supporting France, and the reason I will be supporting Brazil is so that Australia have a chance to qualify second. Smile

Well, I was right with the Brazil vs Croatia prediction anyway.
I was dissapointed not to see Juninho play. Frown I just can't understand it, if that man was English, I'm sure he would claim a starting place in the squad... I'm not sure, but some people say that he would make a good holding midfielder taking Ze Roberto's place and playing alongside Emerson. Why can't the manager just try this out? Confused He's too good a talent to just sit on the bench... there must be a way that Ronaldinho, Kaka and Juninho can play all together, surely.

yes, i was disappointed too but i'm sure he will play few minutes in the others matches ! I just hope he will score a free-kick Smile. It's always funny to see the goalkeeper's face before the free-kick Big Grin.
pfff i've missed Spain/Ukrain !! my prediction was 1-0 for Ukrain Roll Eyes

Ukraine were terrible. Expected a little more from them.

Saudi Arabia nearly won! So sorry for them, and annoyed with them (for wacking a free kick straight out of play to concede possession before Tunisia's equaliser).

Watching Germany v Poland and just seen Klose miss a glorious chance (damn it! He's in my fantasy football team).

I've just been watching the first half of England vs Trinidad and Tobago and I can honestly say, we're truly, truly terrible. Honestly, this makes the off form France look brilliant, this performance. We could, nay should have conceded twice! Eek We have to start playing football. We are truly shocking, it's just like Mike Bassett England Manager all over again! Roll Eyes

Yes they were not that good ! At the same level than Les bleus Roll Eyes. But they won. Gerrard's goal was wonderful ! And Lennon has impressed me, i didn't know him before.

True, England did win whilst France only drew, but two things: -
1. The score didn't reflect on the game at all! Gerrard had to produce a brilliant strike to score and Trinidad and Tobago's goal was most certainly not off-side!

2. Switzerland are at least a half decent team. France didn't have any excuse to draw like they did, true, but England were worse, in my oppinion. And Ashley Cole, so called worlds best left back?! There must be at least a dozen left backs who can play better than he can!

I forgot to mention. I know little about Lennon, either, but he was one of the few decent players for the England B team against Belarus. Based on these two performances, I would still have him as back-up to Joe Cole, but a player to be subbed on a lot (that seems to be the way it is anyway, but I think he's probably going to make it into the England starting 11 in a few years).

Well done Ghana! Eek A Tremendous result! I'm really pleased for them. If Italy beat the U.S.A, then all Ghana will have to do is beat the U.S.A and hope that the Czech Republic lose to or draw with Italy. I hope they make it... it has been a bad year for African teams. It's nice to have a bit of variation.

Yep a great result for Ghana!!! The first victory for an african team int this World cup. Smile
I was so disappointed for Ivory cost yesterday, but at least i'm pleased because my 2 favourites Ivoirian's players, Drogba and Koné, have scored. I'm sure they will learn a lot of this world cup, next time they will have more experience.

Ivory Coast have been unlucky to be drawn in the group of death. In my oppinion, they've been the best African side closely followed by Ghana. And yes, I'm sure they will have become more experienced since they've been unlucky to lose against some of the best, so there's no problems there. If they qualify next time and aren't drawn in the group of death, then I think they will have a great chance to qualify for the last 16 in world cup 2010.

ALLEZ GHANA!!!!!!!!!

What a great evening! Watching that match in the unbeatable company of my Ghanaian friends was thrilling. Without doubt the best World Cup moment I've experienced. Watching Asamoah Gyan and Sulley Muntari's goals fly in was heaven, pure unparalleled ecstacy. The drums were playing and the flags were flying. Quel reve!

Medaase pa pa Ghana Big Grin

Merci beaucoup, Ghana!

Camisarations to Togo, though it's probably true to say that they would've fared better if there wasn't a money grabbing mutiny led by arrogant Adebayor. Shame on them, did they not think about all the fans that had travelled from their home countries!?

well done Ghana indeed-i watched them in the world cup tent at the Isle of Skye music festival and the whole place was shouting for them at the end-at times they played like everyone thinks Brazil do(but dont really)!
Its a real shame that two out of the best three african teams ended up in terrifying groups.Tunisia and Ghana both having it in their own hands in game 3 is great

I really think they can do it. I really do. They just need to avoid defeat and get a better result than the Czechs and they are through, probably to face Brazil in the second round!!! Better not get ahead of myself. I'm majorly worried about Italia because we've stumbled in this sort of situation so many times in the past...well, I've got my two tellies at the ready so I can watch both matches in tandem.

Just over 3 hours to go! Big Grin

if Ghana do get through to face Brazil and play to their full ability i really think they could get to the QFs-i think it would be total hype against a genuine talent.
No disrespect to the USA but i will be glad to not see their girning b*****d of a coach-he looks like hes constantly on the verge of a mega tantrum(like mary decker in the 84 olympics) and has a face you wouldnt get tired of hitting

Are they really playing that well!? Eek That would be quite a sight to behold if Ghana do make it through and beat Brazil. Of all semi decent teams, it seems to me that at the moment the most likely teams to cause a surprise upset are Ecuador (well, ok, who am I kidding... I wouldn't be surprised if THAT happened! England losing... yep, that could happen Big Grin) and Ghana. As happy as I am for Ghana, I have to say that the penalty they got was a dive. Don't get me wrong, I do want them to go through, but that was a dive.
