I'm getting a little bit bored of seeing the same old news on the French football home page! Anyone else agree? It would be nice if somebody at Channel 4 could possibly update it once in a while............

I'll be up for that, seeing as I need a job at the moment.

What do you think C4? Huh, huh! You could send me to France and pay for me to go to loads of games?! Wink

Great idea! Come on C4, if you employ footballjunkie, Rosa, Eva_lucie, Haaru, myself and the rest, we could give you a high quality website that would be an invaluable source of information...and we're cheap. Just pay for us to go to France, watch a couple of games every week, give us l'equipe and everyone will be happy Big Grin

I'd expect them to pay for appartments for each of us, c'mon! Ha ha ha! That way we could fully immerse ourselves in the culture of our favourrite teams!

Yeah, a nice flat overlooking the River Seine would be nice as a base for our time there, and you'll have to put us up 5 star for when we have to travel Wink This idea looks more plausible by the day. Big Grin

Why not? If C4 don't want to pay for our life of luxury maybe Hauru could put us up? Wink

That'd be great! Then we'd be able to hop across the border and watch some Serie A, and Inter, hopefully clinching deuxieme place cette saison. We could even watch some La Liga maybe too. Right, we've got it all sorted, now we just need the money from C4.

Great stuff! Pretty close to Barcelona, Milan, Marseille.......!

OK, we need to round up some other French footy fans or just some French peeps living in London and demonstrate outside the C4 offices!

Aaaaaah! The dreaded French A level. I failed mine, so I'm the last person to help you but I'm picking the language up again, (i've always loved it), teaching myself at home, using CD-ROM etc. I'd work for a roof and food! Big Grin

Eek Don't tell us you failed it!? It is rock hard though. I struggle with the listening the most. Rosa, perhaps you could ask Haaru if you could send her your coursework and ask her to improve it if possible...?

C'est comme le BAC qu'on fait au lycee pour 2 ans entre les ages de 16-18 ans, une grande qualification qui influence quel universite va-t-on.

How did you not get a good mark in English!?!?

Thanks for the offer, and I may need to employ you, because I should've done my oral exam (speaking exam) preparation over the half-term (bcp d'eleves anglais ont eu une semaine sans l'ecole/lycee cette semaine), but I've been a lazy a5se again and not done anything, which I'm really annoyed at myself about. I'm doing my exam on the poverty in Burkina Faso!

I'm sorry, just found it tough, especially in a group where I didn't feel comfortable. Listening is very hard but having to read two whole novels (La gloire de mon pere was one of them) and then write essays about them was pretty tough, too! I promise to get better though......survived Paris last year!

I'm just at AS Level French, but the sad thing is, there are only 2 other people who take it, that's including the whole of the college, which is probably a reflection on what the future is going to be like, especially with nations like Estonia, Poland, Latvia, Holland, Sweden, Finland, Norway etc being fluent in it already. That really bugs me!

I just went on a short break. Had to deal with rail strikes (typical France Big Grin) and just your basic survival situations, taxis, restaurants etc, but like I said, I failed my A levels and hadn't used French for a few years!
