Whats everyones views on the latest scandal to hit the tour regarding Floyd Landis being tested positive after his epic win on the last day in the Alps?Im a bit down about it all,i started off not wanting to see Landis triumph(based purely on a natural and shameful aversion to Americans)but after that stage i had the feeling id seen one of the great moments in sport and hoped that Landis would win the race which he did.But now this...
I'm afraid I also share your aversion to Americans but after what I thought was a super human effort I really wanted him to win the race! Looking back with hindsight, however, why didn't anyone notice the look on the guys face when he crossed the line and was making his way 'backstage' to chill out! He reminded me of Maradona after his goal at USA '94!
It's odd to think that cycling is the most currupt and drug riddled sport (that we know of) on the planet!
It's got to the stage where it's almost pointless having the race. I'm going to see the prologue next year when it comes to London, maybe I could score some testosterone?
I was happy for Landis when he won le tour de France, so now i'm very disapointed to hear this news. He has been heroic in this tour, so i hope the second test will say that he was not positiv.
reading the BBCs news page Landis and his lawyer reckon the 2nd test will be positive too;i dont think theyre disputing the levels of Testosterone but they are saying they think he produces it naturally which i suppose does sound quite plausible.I dont reckon that was an excuse Diego could have used for what he was found with;i think he was more of a "conspiracy theory"man when it came to excuses
