Anyone else like this club? Aswell as Lille I really like Lens. Amazing support for such a small town and a very English stadium.

I like the kit too. Nice contrast of Yellow and Red.

I used to like Lens, primarily because they let us (Derby) have their rock solid defender, Youl Mawene, but then he refused to sign a new contract, so I went off them, but like to see them do well, like when they walloped Auxerre 7-0

I'm thinking of going over there to see them - closer to me than London - I live in Folkestone. RC Lens are without a doubt my favourite French club.

Apparently there's a whole group of Lens fans from Kent who go and see every home game. The locals thought it odd to begin with but now they're accepted just like anyone else. Particularly because Lens are very English in many ways: the supporters, the stadium etc. And I heard Alan Curbishley gets over there whenever he can. I keep meaning to go myself but always end up putting it off - maybe because they've drawn ten of their fifteen matches! Which is a shame, as they started off the season with some real panache. Tasty kit, though.

No sorry mate! It would be nice if I had someone to travel to Sedan with. Being such a small town I find it very expensive to get there, don't know what it's like for Lens?

So, Liverpool have signed Itandje, who I believe is a very good young 'keeper and also Daniel Cousin has left. This must be quite a blow to les rouges et jaunes?

Yes, but now they have the ivoirian trio: Kalou, Aruna Dindane and Akalé. And Guy Roux is there manager, so i'm not worried.
Today there was an interview of Itandje in L'équipe, he said that he wanted to leave France, and that his first goal is to play with Les bleus.

Good point, but a strange as it sounds Liverpool's sub 'keepers get more international footy than the first team 'keeper.
