Hi, I was lurking around the forums and came across this place so I thought I'd pop in.

I totally agree with everyone's comments about Wenger's youth policy. He certainly has an ability for spotting good young talent and developing it. With the young players we have coming through at the moment, the future is definitely exciting.

I hope Wenger decides to stick with the youngsters for the Carling Cup final, after all they got us there and it would be harsh to drop them now.

Thank you for the welcome footballjunkie.

What did you think about the Middlesborough match?

I think the ref was wrong in both sending off Senderos and awarding Boro that penalty. The replays clearly showed that Senderos made contact with Yakubu outside of the box. Yakubu himself even admitted that Senderos didn't touch him. But I guess that is the way things go sometimes.

Thank goodness we have Djourou back because with Gallas still injured and now Senderos having to serve a three match ban, we have very little cover at CB.

We really missed Van Persie as he is a player who, even when he comes off the bench, can have a huge impact on the game. I just hope he recovers quickly.

Have you heard the reports that Henry will supposedly be leaving the club in the summer? There has been nothing from Wenger or Henry to suggest that he wants to move, so I have no idea where this story has come from. I guess it must be that time of year again when journalists have nothing to write about so come up with rubbish like this.

Yeah, it's that time of the year again, alright! Especially as the January transfer window didn't throw up any excitement! I would be surprised if Henry left, his family is very, very settled in London.

As for Senderos, I'm still not sure on him! He can be so dozy and make such simple mistakes. He was very unfortunate to get a red card at the weekend and it was never a penalty, everyone knows it! That's just the way it goes sometimes, on another day Viduka would have got a red.

I just think it would be nice for us to actually take the lead early in a game and to keep going like that Arsenal of a couple of seasons ago instead of giving teams a goal lead every game. Sure it's nice to know that we can come from behind and still pick up points but it's extremely frustrating as a fan.

We'll be by far the best when Gallas is back in defence. Kolo's too overworked but Djourou is more competent than Senderos in my opinion!

I agree Arsenal have at times been very frustrating to watch this season and what makes it even more frustrating is that we counted ourselves out of the title race so early.

This season we have beaten United twice, beaten Liverpool and drawn with Chelsea. These results show that we obviously have the quality to be challenging for the title, but unfortunately we're not.

On the plus side, the Boro game shows that at least our away form seems to be improving! Anything has to be better than last season. It got to the point where I used to dread away fixtures.

When Mr Wenger was appointed manager I believe most English fans immediately thought, Arsene Who? However, I am very pleased to say that he has been a revelation in England and in my opinion, changed the way the game is played and I think that every fan owes him for that!

So, here comes my point and I'm hoping that you guys that know more about French football than me can can maybe answer me?

Should us Arsenal fans start to worry about Arsene Wenger's current form? Why would any boss sell his most influential player, (Patrick Vieira), and not arrange back up? Why does he lose his cool so often these days? when he first arrived he was as cool as a cucumber! Plus, here's the biggy....why does he never seem to have a 'plan B' when things don't go according to plan?

Has he been hanging around Sven Goran Eriksson to much?

Anyway, that rant aside, I have every faith in him and trust his judgement although I am a little worried.

Up the Gunners et allez les Sangliers!

Lord Atiladhun is a London born Goooner since the day he was able to kick a football Smile Anyway, I have total faith in Monseiur le Professor Arsene Wenger. Yes, like you, I first feared the worst after he sold Patrick Veira, but after Cese Fagregas started to show my we signed him, my fears disappeared completely.

Nonetheless, I do feel the Professor have made some costly mistakes over the pass years. For one, he should not have sold Qouicy-Owusu Abeiye to the Russians, buying Reyes was a big mistake, he should have talked Sol into staying on a bit longer (senderos is still not the finish article), He should have bought Lennon, and I strongly feel he should be making more effort to bring in more Homegrown kids thru' the youtrhy Academy.

Apart from the above, I feel Le Professor is the right coach for us and we will improve as the season goes on. Most of all, Arsenal play the most skillful passing game ever in England and it all down to Arsene Wenger Smile

I must say one is in total agreement with your view on Sendero. I watched him on his debut at Highbury in the league cup V Everton, he was just too shaky for me liking, made loads of mistakes in the first half. However he later settled as the game progess. I think we should load him out to a championship club to give him that confident and toughness. Just look at Justin Hoyte, he is much better compose and good defender than Senderos after many seasons on load.

True indeed, one can't wait for the return of Gallas. Cool

Again, one is in agreement with you. However, SEnderos should not be in the starting 11 as Drogba will just bully him all day long.

Well, the Beast appeared to be finding his feet now, if his performance in the Carling cup is more of the best of him too come. Although, it look like Real Madrid might want him back as they don't want to sign fat boy Reyes on a parmanent deal Frown

I hope Arsene pulls all stops to sigm the Beast and sell that mummy's boy Reyes to any Spanish club that wants him......even at a loss to Arsenal in terms of price. Sorry guys, can't stand Reyes, thought from day one that he was way over-rated Roll Eyes

I agree. Baptista has been very impressive in the Carling Cup and seems to be adjusting very well. Hopefully we will be able to sign him as I can see him having a good future at Arsenal, but at moment it does depend on what the situation is with Reyes.

I also never really liked Reyes. I think it was the way that he used to moan about adapting to life in England and how hard he found it. To be honest that is not the type of thing you want to be hearing from players. Overall I don't think he had the right attitude. Look at our other foreign players they have had no problems adapting or if they have they haven't gone and blabbed about it to whichever journalist is willing to listen.

I hope Real decide to sign Reyes. Maybe we should let them have him for free and we could have Baptista in return? That sounds like a fair deal.

I don't think that we should ever consider buying Lennon, he has no end product whatsoever, sure, he's young and will get better but, and Hauru will hate me for saying this, Ribery is better and must be our target in the summer! Sorry Hauru! Wink

The Reyes situation depends on Real signing Christiano Ronaldo, if they don't, they may sign Reyes, if they do, who knows? Confused
