Maybe because they dont make themselves heard i suspect. the article says it all really. they cant claim they are misunderstood whilst doing nothing about helping people to understand them. they have segregated themselves on the whole and unfortunatley the feeling around the more orthodox Jews is that they do kind of look down on non Jews. They seclude themselves and refuse to speak with non Jews yet want understanding, how is this possible?
Thank you. Namaste. Good Luck.

One of the big problems is the fact that Orthodox Jews, especially the Chief Rabbi, looks down at and ignores those who aren't Orthodox. A well loved Reform Rabbi recently died and the Chief Rabbi would not go to the funeral.
The Chief Rabbi and the Jewish Board of Deputies are nothing but a bunch of hypocrits. They bemoan the fact that the numbers of Jews are dwindling but yet if someone Jewish asks for help, they are ignored. I know, I've been there.
So it's not just the non Jews that are ignored, include also other Jews.

That's very true. Like most religious high commands, it's totally out of touch with the majority of its 'members' and condemns anyone else who attempts to speak for the communities
aaaawwwwwhhhhh poor jews! they actually believe they are the chosen ones and that they are superior humans and they have (apparently) also been kicked out of every country they have ever tried to settle in, cant think why!
This might be me but here goes when we say Jewish are we speaking of a different race or are we speaking about religion? is a jewish person a different race than say the host country they live in?, article keepss saying minority do they mean a minority religion?.
quote:
The Daily Mail portrays Jews as Britain's most successful, established minority who are law-abiding, caring and family oriented.
Of course if we are speaking of cultures then there are a lot of minorities that have joined in the host countries cultures and a lot have assimilated joined in with each others cultures and mixed in very well. I simply dont understand the what the article is trying to say and to whom and about who, maybe it is just me. or am I looking to deeply into it, Or is the article just saying to us, people of jewish religions that live in the uk are doing very well and are a peaceful people, nothing more nothing less.

bobby smith you have obviously been sucked in but do not tell people what to do, if there's nothing wrong with beieng pro something then there's nothing wrong with the anti something

He has stated elsewhere his support for the BNP so that should give a clue. If you look at his posts he just attacks anyone he sees as non british. Wonder what his family roots truly are I'll bet his ancestors were immigrants to Britain too.
My girlfriend who's grandparents are polish) has been to Auschwitz and looked at the four ovens (one body per oven) where they burned em! The jews helped my girlfriend's grandad and vise versa when it was all going on in poland, believe me I have actual accounts of what went on from someone who was there. What I know, was certainly not indoctrinated into me by my local shcool.
And by the way I dont attack anyone, and I do not hate anyone either.
Dare I suggest as an informative read; 'Masters of Death' by Richard Rhodes. The book is a graphic and disturbing account of the actions carried out in Poland/Ukraine by the Nazi Einsatzgruppen. After reading it you will find it impossible to imply that the holocaust was not as history sees it. Everybody owes it to those who lost their lives to combat anti-Semitism or any form of racism. It is the least we can offer the memory of the dead.

One of the first postings I had whilst in the Army was to Hohne which was originally the barracks for the Belsen guards. Belsen concentration camp itself was just a short distance away. There certainly is no denying that the holocaust happened - unless your are a total bigot and stupid.
Originally posted by SpeakUp: just interested, as i only recently did some reading on this and its very clear on what should happen to Non Jews. I was not surprised!!
Why be surprised at a religious text being down on non-believers. Christianity and Islam are no better in this both those religions also have verses in their holy books which say non-believers should be killed. Yes they will all tell you how their religion only preaches peace etc. or give you some inane apologetics as excuse but fact is all those bad bits are still there they just don't publicise them.
For instance, anyone who wears clothing of two different yarns (let alone extra marital sex) and other such absurdities should be stoned to death according to the bible. It may be an OT proclamation but by their man-god myth Jesus' own words the laws of the OT were to remain extant.
So beware all you designer clad people as you walk past a church. You have been warned.

Incorrect the right and wrong of being pro or anti a premise or ideology is established by the validity of the base premise. Supporting some silly idea can be just as wrong as being against an idea which is demonstrably valid and vice versa.
For instance if one advocates the world is flat or the moon is made of cheese then it is likely that being pro would result in your being called a stupid loony etc. Is that just an unfair assessment or legitimate comment? The latter I would contend.

"I know someone who was their"
You know someone who was their... what? servant, chauffeur, gimp, etc.
I think the word you need to use is "there". You are such a great example for the BNP - you cannot even correctly use your own language.
I am still waiting for you to tell us about your legitimacy to claim you are an indigenous Briton. Why the delay could it be because your ancestors were naught but the thing you dislike, immigrants (or worse and more likely, invaders) themselves.

I have also actually met 3 people who were around in Poland at the time of the Holocaust. 2 were camp survivors and one was a guy who miraculously survived the Jewish Warsaw uprising of 1943. It is sobering indeed to listen to people who endured past suffering for us to be able to freely write such rubbish today.
