I can't believe after all the barren years without, at last, here is my all time favourite show in beautiful digital colour - more4 is already my pick of the channels - please show every episode!!! Nypd Blue next??
Hi Ray-s, couldn't agree with you more,HSB has always been my all time fave programme & I've watched it each time its been repeated, hopefully they will show all the episodes. we can only hope that NYPD Blue will be next, even if they only show repeats.
PS keep an eye out for a very young David Caruso ( NYPD Blue, CSI Miami ) in HSB, he plays a member of the street gang The Shamrocks.

Well I've got this guitar and I've learned how to make it talk.
But BEWARE, it is missing off the Sky Programme Guide for today, which is showing 1'45" of Countdown!
More4, please sort this out. If I hadn't spotted this my Sky+ would not have recorded today's episode. I'd have been devastated as am collecting (hopefully) every episode.

And a young Danny Glover this week.
Ooh I've just looked on imdb under guest appearances. There's so many of the great and good (and some not so great or good) that have passed through 'The Hill'. Andy Garcia was in the first episode (though I don't remember seeing him) and we've got Jonathan Frakes (Riker in TNG), Dennis Franz (Sipowicz), (actually I seem to recall he turned up as a regular in one of the later series'), Ally Sheedy, CCH Pounder (The Shield), Alfre Woodard, Joe Pantoliano, Jane Kaczmarek, Linda Hamilton, Edward James Olmos, Mykelti Williamson, Michael Biehn, Hector Elizondo, Joaquin Phoenix, Frances McDormand, Yaphet Kotto, Robert Pastorelli, Laurence Fishburne, Chris Noth, Cuba Gooding Jr., Chazz Palminteri, Keenen Ivory Wayans.
The bad news is that HSB is very heavily cut. I thought things were missing, then the other day the shoot out at undercover bar, completely butchered, so wont be watching any more.
All time favourite show!! Absolutely love it! I actually put up an roof aerial to see this show when it was being broadcast in the Republic of Ireland (on RTE)! Sooo glad its on More4 now!

John
Yes you're right about the cuts, a couple of weeks ago there was a scene showing a junkie, injecting drugs, then dying of an OD a couple of minutes later, they cut out the injecting scene so then when she died it didn't make any sense.
The good news is that the repeat, on at about 1.00am - 2.00am doesn't cut any out, I don't think.

Anyone know why they have suddenly stopped repeating HSB in the middle of the night? Of the two crappy times they picked, this was actually the better for recording. Dammit
Why don't TV schedulers ever learn? A new channel can only succed by building up a bunch of loyal viewers. You do NOT do this by constantly messing about with the schedules.
Hill Street Blues on late one night, then not the next. Now it seems to have disappeared all together from the late-night schedule. Not the way to make friends and keep viewers! Bye bye More4....
I see the butcher has been at it again, cutting HSB to bits. Vital scenes were cut out of the end of todays episode ( 12 / 1 ), so that it didn't make any sense. Howard Hunter did pull the trigger, attempting suicide, but they cut out the bit where you heard the gun going off. Because I remember the outcome, having seen it before, I know what happens, but there will be some first time viewers to whom it will make no sense.
Please leave Hill Street Blues alone & stop cutting it to bits.

Bad news. After the last episode of season 4 on February 1st, More 4 have no more Hill Street Blues scheduled. If you wanna see the rest (even if it is edited!) I suggest you email ViewerEnquiries@Channel4.co.uk and tell them.
Stop Press: The schedule for Feb 2nd has now changed from St Elsewhere Year 1 to Hill Street Blues Series 5 Episode 1, so well done More 4 for continuing.
Originally posted by delboy132: congrats to more 4 for the return of Hill Street Blues however why has it not continued from after the station fire broadcast 5/5/6 1355hrs
Because the station fire was the final ever episode, I think.
The station fire was indeed the final ever episode. Here we go again though, where's Hill Street gone all of a sudden once more? Anyone know if it's coming back any time? Will we get St. Elsewhere back again as well? (Hope we get one or the other, the withdrawal shakes are starting...)
