As a massive fan of NYPD I have waited patiently for someone to air these episodes. However, I am hard of hearing and these shows do not have subtitles!! How disappointing this is for me (and no doubt others like me). Can't More4 be bothered to put subtitles in their programmes? I'd wait for the dvd releases but at the rate they are being released I'll be in my late 70's before they all come out! I'd be really interested to hear from someone at Channel 4/More4 on their policy of providing subtitles in programmes. After all, we keep being told that we are now in the digital age so come on and put subbies on your programmes for the hard of hearing!!

Incidentally, my housemate is the opposite! So i tried watchin NYPD blue with low volume and subtitles so as to not wake her up but alas there were no subtitles!

It's typical. You turn the sound up too loud though and it all sounds (even more) distorted and they talk too quick for me to catch it all. I have to bug my poor hubby to ask what they've said! Good job we have sky+ so we can pause it.

I can`t agree more - Another programme requiring subtitles is "WithoutTrace"
