Yeah! What happened? You can't just leave it there! I believe there is a reason the west wing hasn't taken off in the UK like it has elsewhere and it's because they keep doing things like this to it!
What are More4 doing, you cannot just remove the best ever tv from the listings without telling people. They really do get their scheduling wrong. They had the best two prorammes ever made, WW and The Sopranos and really screwed up the time of transmission.
Please tell us More4, when will West Wing reappear.
I know. It might not be the most watched show but they should give it the kind of respect it deserves, like a regular slot. There are so many people who say, ' I love that show, but I don't know where to find it'.
The reason they've shifted it in the schedule (they say) is to allow them to repeat C4 dramas in the 9pm Saturday slot. They eventually gave me that response after I e-mailed to complain 10 minutes after they announced the change following the last episode of Series 4. They don't explain why it couldn't be moved back to Sunday at 8pm, nor why it couldn't be left on Saturday and brought forward to 8pm. Especially since, this Saturday,before the re-run of Poppy Shakespeare, they have 5 hours and 35 minutes - count them - of Relocation, Relocation.
I sent an e-mail complaining about the new time scheduling...........no reply!! 11.45pm on a Saturday is "death row" time. I'm away to my beddie-byes by then. I just wish the huge number of viewers would be considered for once.
Time to play our favourite game of "hunt the West Wing" again. Tonight, according to the More4 listings and TV Guide it's on at 12:10am. According to my EPG we have "The Queen's Wedding" from 9pm - 2am. Is it worth learning to set the DVD recorder the old fashioned way or will I just end up with an hour of Lizzie and Phil? Dilema!
I've fired off another complaint/e-mail to Channel 4 asking what they've done with it now.
It's getting quite annoying. Thankfully I have Sky+
The worst thing is they just seem to be showing a double bill of Time Team (again) and a film.
I was really enjoying my weekly episodes of the West Wing start to finish. A privilege it seems Channel 4 are only willing to extend and see through for fans of Friends.
I've had a reply from Channel 4 thanking me for my complaint.
I've checked the end of Saturday's episode. No message telling us it's off or that it's moved. Very unprofessional.
I'm pretty confident that it will return in a few weeks however.
Usually on Sky+ the series link icon disappears if it's not coming back for a long time. But on this week's West Wing it's still there. This leads me to believe it will be back in a month or so.
