I ain't got a clue mate but I would recommend you just going out and buying Series 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 on DVD Boxset, trust me mate their worth it, I've got all of them just can't wait for Series 6 (FINALE) to come out on t.v in America in March sometime (apparently March)

It's already been stated that More4 won't air repeats of Seasons 4 and 5 until 2007, which ironically enough will when HBO air the last ever episode to The Sopranos.

Season 6 - Episodes 1-12 March-June 2006
Season 6 - Episodes 13-20January-February 2007

Season 6 won't start in the UK until August at least. Given hoe much E4 seems to be dumbing down it would almost make sense for the final season to air on More4 in a Sunday slot, like they've done with Curb Your Enthusiasm and a midweek timeslot on Channel 4.

It was announced a while back. I forget where but I definitely we're getting twenty episodes for Season Six but they won't air all at once.

'Sopranos' to end after sixth season
Saturday, January 14 2006, 15:46 GMT -- by Daniel Kilkelly

The Sopranos creator David Chase has confirmed that the sixth season of the show will be the last.

Twelve new episodes will air in the US from March, followed by eight bonus episodes in January 2007.

Speaking at a press event, Chase revealed, "There will be these 12 [forthcoming episodes] and then another eight, and that will be the end."

He also warned that a feature-length movie version of the show is now unlikely.

"We haven't talked about it in a long time. It's hard to see how it would work," Chase explained. "I think what we're going to be doing the next year and a half would have been that movie."

The show's star James Gandolfini added that he is ready to move on to new projects.

"I'm too tired to be a tough guy or any of that stuff anymore," he said. "We pretty much used all that up in this show."

I don't know. I think six seasons and 85 episodes will have covered everything we needed about the series. Does anyone else Season Six would be better airing on E4 or More4 in the summer?

i recently sent an e-mail and received a rather strange email in reply.

Thank you for your Email. We apologise for the delay in replying.

THE SOPRANOS came to the end of series 5 last year with the final episode showing in April 2005 on E4 and E4 + 1.

Regarding Year 4 of THE SOPRANOS, I have checked the schedules and, in fact, the whole series was shown on More4 last year in chronological order with the final episode airing in October 2005. So far as I can ascertain the sudden disappearance that you describe did not happen (for this series at least).

Year 5 will be shown for the first time on Channel 4 some time this year although we are unable to confirm the exact date due to our two week embargo. Likewise, Channel 4 has acquired the rights for the newest series (Year 6) but it has not yet been scheduled. This is the transmission information we have available at present.

Thank you for your interest in Channel 4. We trust that this information will be of use to you.

Regards,

Joy Parker

In terms of Season 5 Ch4/E4 aired it first from August-November 2004, but E4 then repeated Season 4 from Janaury-April 2005 in a late timeslot (1am), so it's technically true.

Here's a nice link you all might want to take a peek at ...

Brief Season Six spoilers

HBO has released some details about March episodes for the sixth and final season of "The Sopranos," but a rich imagination will be needed to fill in the blanks.

Which, of course, is the whole idea:

In the season premiere March 12, Tony (James Gandolfini) and Uncle Junior (Dominic Chianese) go on a "back yard treasure hunt." (Hmm.)

In the March 19 episode "Join the Club," Tony goes to the West Coast but suffers from what HBO calls "a case of mistaken identity."

On March 26, Silvio (Steve Van Zandt) and Paulie (Tony Sirico) divide some spoils - the episode's called "Mayham" - while Christopher (Michael Imperioli) turns to his old and battered buddy JT (Tim Daly) for some help in "a new venture."

And for those who may be wondering, all of the regular old, familiar cast members - those who have avoided the reaper - will be back, while some new guest stars include Hal Holbrook, Anthony "Treach" Criss, Ben Kingsley and Julianna Margulies.

And for those who may still be wondering whether the sixth season could be followed by a seventh, HBO's news release specifically says the upcoming season will be the last.
