I am not keen on DOGS but at least the More4 one is faint and translucent. But what is unacceptable are the in progsmme pointers which are just the last word in televisual insults.
It's particularly ugle though isn't it? I prefer the watermarks that American networks use, they are much prettier, it's like an engraving. I also prefer logos on the bottom right like ABC1 and like More4 during the daily show, it looks so much better.
What are programme pointers?
Do you mean the little "new" sign that is a different place on every new programme?
The fact that they need to highlight when a programme is not a repeat speaks volumes...
DOGS are totally unacceptable as far as I'm concerned and I won't watch any programme that features them. They are totally unnecessary and serve no purpose.
In programme pointers are the strips that appear before a programme has ended to tell you what's on next. Final moments of many a programme are ruined with the IPPs sliding on screen.
Oh I see. Yes they are annoying, especially as 2 seconds later the announcer tells you whats coming up, then before the break a whole screen is dedicated to it.
I remember I watched BBC Three once, and the Comic Side of 7 Days.
They had a music video playing with commentary flashing across the screen basically slagging it off.
Then when it came to the punchline it went like this:
"I wish mNEXT TWO PINTS OF LAGER AND A PACKET OF CRISPS"
They are just idiots, I especially despise anyone who works at BBC Three.
