Theyre robots, so while we could, they would be as useful as a guide as animals are, them not being human, and in this case not having any similar physiology......
That said, the second generation are at least in disguise, may have some level of cybernetic life system included which could be used.
As for their evolution, judging by how things have panned out so far, were very likely to be Guinea Pigs MKII. So sit down and enjoy Malkie, your brain is now regarded as simple single cell stuff and the robots are gonna make a smoothie out of your innards.
