i'm just wondering if anyone can clarify for me the logic behind the editing and running order of the episodes? i just cannot get my head around it i seem to be watching repeats all the time???? thankyou!
They show repeats when Jon is on holiday and the show is off air. So if it is off for one week they repeat the previous weeks shows and if it is off for two weeks they show the last two weeks and so on.
Sometimes the show looks badly edited because More 4 chop it up. Sometimes it because it needs it to make sense like when...
It is shown in the States there is an an extra advert at the end just before Jon says "On tomorrows show..." and we don't have an ad break there.
And sometimes when it doesn't More4 edit other bits out for reasons unknown.. if you watch the global addition on CNN you will see bits which weren't on the E4 shows, also, and most annoyingly, there is a section at the end of every show where Jon speaks to Stephen Colbert which gets chopped out 99% off the time (they left it in a couple of weeks ago - CHEERS). But that topic could take up a whole other thread.
Hope that answers your questions a bit...I've been going on so long it is almost time for the show itself!!!
GenieUK is absolutely correct. You can always check out the Daily Show's website on Comedy Central if you're not sure whether it's a holiday week or not.
