used to live in a socialist system, but it's far from that these days.
We already pay for further education, and have lost a great number of other things that we used to receive from the state. Healthcare is going in exactly the same direction with the introduction of private healthcare a few decades ago.
It's really only a matter of time until the NHS is phased out, and we'll all have private health insurance.
Personally I think it's a great idea as the people who need the healthcare should have to pay for it - especially in the case where the health problems are self inflicted.
