Great that the Daily Show finally gets a UK outlet. Been downloading and enjoying it for months. The More4 blurb I've been reading says that we'd be seeing it the day after it was broadcast, yet at the moment, it's 7 days behind. An unedited intro to the program tells you the date....More4 are snipping it out. For a topical news show, based on current events, you really do need to watch immediately, not with a 7 day lag. Is this going to change?

John Stewart's done maybe four minutes of George Bush impersonations, spread over three shows and you're alomst fed up? He's not even repeating the same joke, he's just doing the same voice!

So they show the Global Edition last night? The one that contains the best bits from the last few days, that also airs on CNN once a week. What gives? Are we going to slip another day behind, or have they just skipped an entire episode?

i was wondering about that , let see what they show tonight

The Daily Show typically films shows for 3 weeks then takes 1 week off. (They show repeats in the states during the breaks).I think in the run up to the US election last year they didn't take so many breaks.
Last week they were off, so that is why the shows we got were several days old. Last night's programme was filmed/shown in the states on Monday night, so now we are only 1 day behind.
I love Jon's impression of Bush- I do the "heh, heh, heh's" along with him!

Wow. I did not know that. Thank you Laurie. Humble apologies wafted in More4's direction from me. :-)
On with the Show!

*hugs More4*
I used to get by on the weekly Global Edition on CNN, but now it's on every daaaay!
Oh, and most American comics aren't funny. Seems that so much of their comedy is dependent on knowing an endless number of American TV stars.

It's great not having to rely on CNN's 'will they/won't they show Global Edition this week?' idea of scheduling!
I really dislike Bill O'Reilly, so it was nice to see Jon not falling for the insults. Last time he was on, he called the audience 'stoned slackers'. I don't know why he bothers going on the show if he hates the viewers so much.
Also TDS films Monday to Thursday only, so that is why we have GE on Fridays.
