Well it's better than the other American talk shows that we've had. Leno, Letterman etc... (apart from maybe the Michael Moore one with a studio audience which I seem to half remember (It had a british 'ilegal imigrant' on it)

I'm not sure that I would turn over to see it... but If it was on I wouldn't turn away

The Daily Show is very very good.

It is incredibly american, and a little too juvenile and slapstick at times, but given the nature of the news/talk shows that it mocks [and the intended audience of mtv-raised youth] it does make sense to run the show in this way.

What is slightly worrying, is that the daily show - which is a comedy show - is one of the more objective and critical examples of journalism in america.

Hi,
I wanted to know when a certain episode will be on More 4. The show originally aired in the States on Tuesday 13th December.... does anybody know when it will be on? Or if I've already missed it.

The guest was Howard Stern.

thanks Smile

I think the Daily Show is quite humourous and witty but I don't always get the content of it or the guests they have on which is a shame, I would probably watch more of it if I could *get* it more.

I've only just discovered the Daily Show, due to not being able to leave the living room for a few days, and I absolutely love it Big Grin

Is it weird that I now have a thing for Jon?

Agreed.

It could be that the comedy format for this show is the only way to get the message
across that is acceptable to the US TV networks.

It's a really entertaining show, and in my opinion,C4/More4 should be congratulated for showing it,especially in the current political climate.

I lurve the Daily Show. I have to agree, I'm amazed that they get away with it, as America seems to be pretty fundamentalist in large part. Mind you, isn't it 'live from New Yoyk'?? - where they are a bit more liberal than the majority of USA.

I have to agree with Earless Toast - Jon is welcome on my sofa anytime!! Wink
