Having waited for more than 2 years for NYPD Blue to return to our screens, I was initially delighted when I saw the trailers being shown towards the end of April. However I must point out my disappointment in some/most of Channel 4's decisions regarding this excellent show. Having logged onto the the More4 Forum, I realise that I am not alone! I have written most of what follows - by way of complaint - to C4/More4, and am now sitting on the edge of my seat awaiting their response!

Not everybody has yet made the switch to Digital TV. I have, but I cannot help but sympathize with the many fans of the show that will miss out on the last 3 series.

Even as an avid fan, I think that 4 times a week is too much – it doesn't allow any opportunities for missing an episode and given that it can be scheduled to start anytime between 2255 and 0025hrs - which will involve recording the show - it doesn't give one much opportunity to catch up either.

I feel strongly that Channel 4 has given little or no regard to the many loyal fans of this show, and are merely fulfilling a contractual obligation to broadcast it. With 22 episodes in each series, and C4 showing the last 3 series back to back, four times a week, we will bid farewell to this Emmy Award winning drama by 22 August 06. (This does NOT make up for the 2+year gap in putting the show back on C4!)
NYPD Blue is right up there with ER. The Sopranos, Desperate Housewives and Lost, and I don’t think for one second, you would consider putting them out at irregular times, 4 nights a week on a channel that not everyone has yet.

I doubt that anything can or will be done about this now, but having spent the last lot of years phoning C4 to ask them when they were planning to resume broadcasting the show, I felt it only fair to let you know what I thought of your decisions regarding its schedule and your attitude towards its fans.

Having been religiously recording NYPD Blue for the past few weeks from More4, I inadvertantly taped over several episodes - the last 3 of Season 10 and the first 4 of Season 11 - at the weekend. Gutted (have been very busy of late, so not been keeping up with watching these)!

So, do you still have these episodes (assuming you recorded them, that is)? If so, please let me and will arrange to borrow them or whatever - would be much appreciated!
