It wasn't showing in my nearest cinema, an Odeon, but the Cineworld further out was showing it. The Odeon kept Brokeback Mountain running an extra week because it was getting sell outs.

Because it wasn't like a huge release loads of cinemas aren't showing it or if they do it's only for 7 days. However my Cineworld is showing it and if you have an Arts Picturehouse that probably will too. I had exactly the same problem when i wanted to go se 'Last Days.'
The cinema I work at (which is a Vue) got it a week late because they often leave some films for a week or so to see how well they do before they decide to show them. Incidentally Walk The Line is fantastic. Watch it any way you possibly can.
Walk The Line not a big film? Over $100 at the us box office and countless awards and nominations. I am fuming.
Quit fuming. It wasn't initially released as a big film I'll have you know, it brought in alot more than expected after people began to realise what a brillaint movie it was.
