Saw this film last night and its easily the worst film of the year so far. Its basically the first film with Women and contains less gore than the first film, which was a surprise.

There is one completely sick part in the film but by then I was either laughing/growning at the acting and the situations involved.

All in all - 1/10

I liked it. Eli Roth delved deeper into the organisation which i thought was refreshing and didn't feel as if i was watching the first movie. Hell i was entertained......and disturbed at the same time. The film did exactly what it said on the tin. Next.

(*WARNING: DO NOT READ FOR SPOILERS*)

Kaptain

The geek girl was always going to be first killed, they even made this apparent with her dreadful voice and virgin mary status attitude. There was no surprise there. Her killing however was actually good and set up the other killings with anticipations for originality. Those other killings sadly missed that originality apart from the last but one, which was obviously a total rip off of "I spit on Your Grave".

The acting was awful, the gore was missing apart from the above which I mentioned. The ripping off of The Wicker Man was there again, the same as the first film. It took 10 minutes at the start to tell us what happened in the first film. These audience members will have already seen the first film, so why be reminded of it for 10 minutes?

The last but one act was for shock but as soon as you seen where the scissors were, you knew what was going to happen. I imagine they will make another 5 Hostel films and have the same story through them all.

I would have prefered more information about how the organisation came about than where it is at the moment. I was not disturbed one bit during the film, the first I was especially with the first kill.

The American businessmen who paid for the privelage of doing the kills were so transparant that you knew he wasn't going to set her free. You knew the other was going to feel guilt instead. The makeup woman part for the client was complete trash. As if no one has tried to go for her before and get those keys.

Its a dreadful film and when it comes to the fact that Eli Roths career highlight is a trailer within the film Grindhouse then what does that say about him?

Let people decide though, I know what the critics are going to say and the turkey symbol will be sat right next to the movie in nearly every review.

Maybe teenagers will put down their money to see someone have their whatsitcalled cut off, I prefer a believable story. As soon as the Hostel receptionist reared his head again with his cheesy grin and crap acting, I knew there was trouble with this film.

I stick by my 1/10 and its lucky to get that. Glad you enjoyed it but for me, it was a remake not worth a single penny put into it.

It even makes Hostel look like a masterpiece of cinematic history.
