Does anyone else really hate it when you rent a DVD and you're just getting into the film when it starts skipping or freezing or takes you back to like the second chapter?
I hate the way people can't take better care of them, its really not that hard but some DVDs get so badly scratched that they're impossible to watch. The worst is when the film's kind of old and they only have one copy
YES! Pour example I watched Bufallo Soldiers today, and about an hour and a half in it froze and skipped back to the first scene just when I was getting into it and then you have to stop the dvd, clean the disk, load it up, re-find the scene. Soooo fecking irritating. And the dvd was new
To be honest I've only ever had this experience once out of hundreds of Movies I've rented out, one thing I do like doing is, copying them lol

We once rented Big Trouble In Little China and got Basil The Great Mouse Detective instead. The thing is we were pretty out of it when we put it on, and we really started getting into the story. It was only half way through that we realised we weren't meant to be watching it at all. True story.

Totally agree. It's not hard to take care of a DVD so it doesn't get scratched, makes you wonder what these people do with the discs!!
Yes I've had a couple of DVD's which were badly marked. Thankfully I managed to get through them to the end with a couple of hitches in between. However, hiring music cd's from libraries is worse. I hired about 10 in total, and there was one which worked perfectly, the rest skipped and were virtually unplayable. Obviously looking after a cd or a dvd is just beyond some people.
