He's milked starwars for all of its worth and Indian Jones is reaching it's end (has ended) what will he do now? More remakes/updates/directors cuts? Can he have a new idea??

his r/d on ep 1-3(low cost cgi and digital photography)is gonna reap benefits 4 all filmmakers in the future (studio and indie)-ask directors of spy kids and sin city, sky captain.
his move into tv with clone wars and star wars will help launch HD on tv.

'He's more money now, than man.' Lucas will never, ever relinquish his grip on this particular udder, withered and puckered from overuse though it may be.

Ain't he doing Star Wars in 3D now? Is he involved in the rumoured Star Wars mini series?

For better or worse the guy is Star Wars. And maybe that's for the best. Unless the world is ready for the awsome directing/scriptwriting skills of the present day Mr Lucas, being unleashed on anything other than a cheesy scifi/fantasy romp.

There's plenty more milk left in the Star Wars cashcow yet. Loads more rerererererereleases with different box artwork and hamfisted tinkering are no doubt on the way.

If there's anything more certain than Mr Lucas patching his Star Wars films yet again, it's that people will buy the latest patched versions ... yet again. How much home shelf space will so few films end up taking we wonders?

He ain't finished with Star Wars. Not by a long shot.

Dunno bout the so called 'consensus'.... My eyes and ears are usually good enough tools with which to assess a films worth. Subjective as that may be.

I don't need other peoples opinions to validate the fact that I consider The Empire Strikes Back and perhaps Star Wars, to be the only half way decent films in Lucas's attempt at a mythic saga.

I don't give a fook about the consensous [or whether you believe them to be right or wrong]. I believe in my eyes, my heart and my experience and in my eyes the latter trilogy is shite, no questions asked. There are no words in this dog-gone universe that describe how shite this film is to me.

George Lucas's current success i believe is due to him leeching/taking advantage of the fanboys. Once the fanboys loose interest Lucas will have nothing. Fanboys...its up to you guys to get rid of this hemaeroid.

Possibly an "Episode 7" explaining what happened with Luke Skywalker and his multi-race gang.
