I've been offered a loan of this film from a guy in work who hasn't watched it and never will.
Has anybody seen it or heard anything about it ?
I think it's an aussie film. I've a lot of other films waiting to be seen, but this could skip the queue if it gets good reports

thanks

I thought it was absolutely terrible. Its a current day film noir which is boring beyond any stretch of the imagination.

Its a cult film for some but I couldn't even even see why. Some really bad acting and a basic plot that goes nowhere.

I'm not sure if its an Aussie film, the only Aussie in the film is Claire from Lost that I know of.

Cheers – It can take it’s rightful place at the back of the queue – it could be waiting sometime.

You’re right, I’ve just got the film from him this morning and it’s not an aussie film. He seen the girl from lost on the back and came up with that.
The box has lots of great reviews and five stars etc. This isn’t uncommon – do the journalists even watch these films half the time ?

Anyway, thanks for the comments

Brick???

American (or was it Austrailian?) teenagers at High School? Bloke's girlfriend goes missing? He delves into the drug / drop out sub-culture to look for her?

That movie?

If it is, well above average. Gripping, intelligent, dark... It is a little bit slow and ever so slightly out there but way better than most average movies.

That sounds like the one alright. I think it's American.

I'll trust you Arlecchino, and try and give it a look in the next week or so. I'll post what I thought of it.

i got this for a fiver and to be honest it's not even worth 50p, far and away one of the most pretentious and tedious films i have ever seen, i gave up after an hour.i just don't see what all the fuss was about.

I only wished I could've given up after an hour, you saved yourself in time. Wink

If I could erase this film from my memory then I would sell my soul to Satan as the price.

I concur. I thought that it was a superb movie. Joseph Gordon Levitt is one of the most interesting young actors around.
The film is american.

Joseph Gordon Levitt is a superb actor, but 'Brick' is bloody awful; it is the worst film I have seen in a long time. I hope I can get some of my £6 back when I sell it on eBay.

Brick was definitely the best of the Anchorman crew!
