Not too sure about this one, Dont think Tony Scott has made a really good film since True romance.

I liked Enemy of the State. thats him isn't it? He's a very hit and miss director though. mainly miss. The Fan is maybe the worst film I've ever seen.

True Enemy of the state was good but the last really good film for me was true romance, Man on fire was supremly dissappointing.

yes, but True Romance is his ONLY 'really good' film because he had a 'really good' script

Yes that is true but having a great script is one component of making a really good film, it still needs to be executed correctly.

I am really looking foward to this. Its a chance to see Miss Knightly in a proper role for once. Tony Scott is a class director. Who else has moved so effortlessly from homoerotic films about airplanes to dialogue-fuelled cameo filled classics about Elvis fans to a semi-sequel to the film The Conversation, but with Will Smith as the main character. Not as good as his brother though.

know what you mean. i always want to like her in films, but she always ends up annoying me for some reason(especially love actually), although i thought she was good in the Hole and Pirates..

I liked Man on Fire, but it doesn't qualify as his best in my opinion.

True Romance dominates everything.

I could watch Keira Knightly cleaning a toilet and justify its greatness to myself, I watched the whole of that Doctor Zhivago remake on ITV (though there was a nude scene, PAY OFF). Though I must be the only person in the world that thought Pirates... was a bit pish.
The fact that this is a Tony Scott movie, with Mickey Rourke in it, written by Richard Kelly gives it a real boost and theres no doubt that Knightly can act, though whether she's right for the part remains to be seen, who knows.
