As part of my art foundation course, I must watch as many food/drink related films (or films with significant scenes concerning food/drink) as possible in researching the topic of food. Any suggestions? These have already been suggested:
Babette's Feast Chocolat Delicatessen 9 1/2 Weeks Gosford Park Eat Drink Man Woman Close Encounter of the Third Kind (in which models are made out of mashed potato?) Life is Sweet Marie Antoinette Tampopo Oliver Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Like Water for Chocolate Jean de Florette Manon des Sources The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover Sideways Super Size Me Fast Food Nation Festen Dumplings Soul Food
Many thanks for the reply. Reading the plot outline for 'Soylent Green' suggests it could be a useful film to look at in terms of using the theme of population vs. how much food there is, poverty and rations, but I don't think zombie movies are particularly relevant for my project. Any others, guys?!
The 5 dollar shake scene in Pulp Fiction. Gives a great insight into the two characters in an awkward position to be in. Does butter count as food? If so, the last tango in paris has an interesting scene!

Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, Meet Joe Black (he eats a lot of peanut butter), films involving pubs always seem to mention pork scratchings and crisps, like Shaun of the Dead.
