i'm a teenager so i am still kinda a child but only the ring and the grudge had a affect on me really i got really freaked out with them when i watched the grudge i didn't get 2 sleep till bout 1:30 in the morning i kept looking under my quilt just incase the woman was there it was soo horrible.. when i was younger about 5 or 6 i watched buffy movie and at my old house the airing cupboard was right next to my bed i kept thinking there were vampires in there i was soooo freaked out it was unbeleivable i wasn't till we moved that i actually got over it and we didnt move till i was 7 or 8 abnd last but not least i didnt have any nightmares or scared when i watched final destination 1+2 but i kept thinking i was gonna die which was horrible but i kept thibnking that all these things were gonna kill me but i got over that in like a day but i do still watch out for things just in case
the my little pony movie (no, im not kidding)I had the tie in book as well, and i made my mum lock it in a cupboard so the monster couldnt get me...
Roald Dahls The Witches terrified me as well, and there was an advert for Persil or something with walking clothes that really freaked me out, i actually still dont like having clothes lying around when i go to bed....

ringu really scared me, as did halloween but the first film I remember being really scared by was IT, when I was about 11, which is solely responsible for my hatred of all things clown-related!
Also, the 'hush' epissode of Buffy (not a film I know) which has the only scary 'monsters' in the entire run
I can remember a hammer house of horrors film about a severed hand I was about 12 at the time and the babysitter let me watch it I was sooo scared that i wouldn't turn the lights of in my bedroom for weeks after.

Clowns are scary at the best of times. Stupid things they are.
i can remeber watching halloween H20 and scream at my friends house who lived across the street.although they didnt scare me that muh when i was watching them, i can remember i belted the few meters to my house i it was dark and i was sure one of the killers was going to jump out from behind a parked car and get me!

while we're at it, what about the creepy adverts aswell (not strictly film i know..) but the Judderman one???!!! it freaked me out even now when it was repeated on 100 greatedst ads!and some playstation one with ducks and people swapping heads?
and when i was little i can remeber being terrified of an advert, possibly for a bank or steel company(dont know why i think that!) with a thing like a horse made out of wooden planks walking over money- i used to call him the money man...
no one knows what im talkin about (dont think i do either) but i swear it was real!! either that or my parents had me on drugs from a very young age....dontthink it was actually a scary ad, but.... anyone??

that definately gave me the creeps to, but i dont think its the only scary episode. what about the plain weirdness of 'Restless', which i think captured the nature of dreaming perfectly? or how about 'The Body'-the reality of that episode freaked me out good n proper. you could also argue that theres an eerie sense of forboding and unease throughout season 7, as you realise that no ones safe.
and lets not forget buffy waking up in her coffin-aarrrgh!!!
right, im gonna stop [posting on this thresd now-the buffy geek has left the building....

Scariest thing I've ever seen on the telly, was when X Files had that occult episode. The one in the college with that mad teacher hanging stuff over a black candle. But it was that bit at the end where she disappeared without trace and left a message on the blackboard 'Pleasure working with you hope to see you soon' Supposedly signed from the woman posessed by the devil
"My father had a profound influence on me. He was a lunatic" *Meet the new boss...Same as the old boss*
My sister used to make me watch them when i was 5 and she was 15.I think she loved to watch my face of torture, although sometimes she was more scared than me!
Chandler: If I turn into my parents, I'll either be an alcoholic blonde chasing after twenty-year-old boys, or... I'll end up like my mom.

Lol, I remember seeing that film too. The severed hand also reminds me of seeing The Beast With Five Fingers. That hand with the big ring on it's finger freaked me out! Also the film Them, about the giant ants terrified me, lol. Plus, I can remember an episode of The Outer Limits (original series) with these people on some planet that had a kind of radioactive rain. If they got caught in the rain they turned into bug eyed mutants who couldn't live in the light. I couldn't get those huge bulging eyes out of my mind for weeks!

and what about those Boobah things??!!what the ?!&@* are they all about????!!! they just repeat everything 20 times and then that scary grandad pops up-i cant watch it (although i guess due to the fact that im not 3, im not exactly its target audience....)

What !? The Racoons were so cool , with that melancholy music at the start , best thing to wake you up on a saturday morning . As for the Moomins , those inbreeded freaks of nature should be burnt alive while being made to watch the sound of lusic . Now that gave me nightmares.
Love is a triumph of imagination over intelligence..
does any body remember the wheelies and the princess with detachable heads from return to Oz? the lame 80s sequel to the wizard of oz. that scared the bejesus out of me.
