I never fancied this film when it first came out but I recently watched it as my mum received it as a gift for xmas. I enjoyed it but i must ask if anyone knows if all them men were really that honed and toned or were their 6 (or even 8!) packs computer generated/enhanced?
Where in my post did i say that that was the only reason i watched it?! If you read it properly i was just curious if their 6 packs were real or CG! There's no need to be so rude!
Saw an interview with Gerard Butler and I think he said it was a combination of 3 months intense gym work (and strict diet) and make up effects...if you look up photos from on set you can see the actors look pretty much how they do in the movie...which would certainly be a bit intimidating for the guys in the crew!
its a good film - i really didnt want to watch it but the bloke said i would enjoy it and i did.
the effects are great but i would like to think it was all hard work on Gerards part.

there was a few months of gym workouts, but they were probably put on cretane as well, which just fills your muscles full of water to give the appearance of being stacked, i imagine they had a lot of make-up as well.

The sad truth about film industry these days is that EVERYTHING's CGIed!!!! Even the films that you might think look "natural"... NO!!! CGI!!!! Noone dares to take a chance anymore. Think about it, someone actually trying to make good old film ... It would be spit on and goodbye career in business. No, just can't risk it in this business.
Unless it becomes the new in-thing at somepoint of course. It has happened before and hopefully will happen. This CGI world and life is really not healthy for anyone.
